Guest phat Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 Hello, OK I am in the process of building my new rig, as I stated here: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20030 I use an Audigy Platinum with an external faceplate (I like to plug my guitar in and make stoopid songs). Should I not bother with the Karajan module? Also, I will be running 2 gigs of Geil PC3200 ram (4x512). Can someone point me to the correct timings and voltages. My plan is to flash to the 623 bios with 1 stick in the orange dimm 2 slot, then add the other sticks later (after OS install? after load optimized defaults?) I am just looking to have a stable 'puter for gaming and whatnot. Not trying to set any benchmark records. Thanks. phat
Guest phat Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 doh! I have read this a few times.....http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...67&postcount=15 RGones nF4 tips. As long as they apply to the ultra D as well as the SLI, I think I can follow that. Just a little nervous as I get closer to completion. Or if anyone has something to chime in on about Geil in particular, I'd be happy to hear it. phat

Mussels Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 The audigy is better than the karajan, and just make sure to pick 2T / CPC off in the bios. running 4 sticks of ram requires that, its a weakness of modern A64 CPU's.
