Hi, Soooo i've been pokin around ddr memories and most of the seem to have identical chips layuouts and other info, and the manufacturing factory and time is roughly the same. I would like to write SPD on a ramstick and how do i do it? I need to edit the manufacturer, model speed and such on the module. How is this accomplished? Has anyone done this?

I have overclocked my CPU using the following bios settings: CPU Multiplier x45 BCLK: 100mhz Short and Long duration: 230/200. core current limit 200 Vcore: OFFSET mode +0.020Volts Load line calibration: LEVEL 4 Spread spectrum disabled SpeedStep: on Everything else left alone, mostly on auto. I ran a torture test with Prime95 and found that I have to stop it due to temperature issues. What can I do to reduce my top end temperatures? Is there anything that seems off, or too much voltage?

Hey guys, I am following the tutorial to overclock my 4770k found here http://www.overclockersclub.com/guides/overclock_intel_4770k_guide/ and ran into a problem. It says while using primer that I shouldn't be going over 80c at stock speeds, but using HWMoniter during the primer95 test my CPU was going well over that. It quickly went to 90c, and I stopped the test at 91c (after about a minute of testing) just in case this was a problem. Is this usual? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, Im new here and im an absolute idiot when it comes to overclocking (more of a software guy). However I would like to get the best from my system before I upgrade the whole system. I really wouldn't know anything, not even where to start nor how to check if I have all the prerequisites for overclocking. This is my configuration atm: MBO: Asus 5PKE-Wifi Proc: Intel Core2Duo E8400 Mem: 2xKingston KVR800 2G + 2xKingston KVR800 1G PSU: Corsai VX450 W CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 120M GPU: ATI Sapphire HD4470 -> probably switching to GTX650 or HD7790 this week I'm not sure about the memmory, is everything compatible for an OC and is it even worth it? if someone could step guide me i would be really thankful (i keep reading that e8400 is really easy to clock up to 3.6 ghz) thank you very much in advance.

Hello, I am wanting to OC a FX-6350 becasue it is bottlenecking my GPU, a Radeon HD 7950, and am in need of some advice or confirmation. I want to be able to get as close as possible to 4.5 Ghz without blowing it up or getting new parts. I am to understand that I should set voltage to 1.42 and the multiplier to 42, is this correct? Also do I need to do any prep before hand, like disable any systems in bios, I have gotten yes and no answers to this. I already have my monitoring software. Also if anyone has use a Gigabyte 970A-D3P I would like to know how it went and if it is a good mobo to OC with. I am running Air Cooled not water cooled, is 4.5 Ghz still viable? Here is the rest of my specs in case you need them: GPU- Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7950 w/ Boost CPU- AMD FX-6350 MOBO- Gigabyte 970A-D3P CPU Cooler- Gemin II S524 PSU- HEC 850TS Thank you for any help you can give, I just want to know absolutely what I am doing before I go in.

I can't overclock my E8500 over 3.37 ghz, 9.5x355 is the highest i can go without my pc not being able to boot, i've read that you can normally go up to 3.8ghz without altering vcore, what can be going wrong? Is using it at 3.37ghz with RAM at 1156mhz even recommendable? It runs stable, have had no problems at all, i just dont think 3.16 to 3.37 is much of an overclock.. I want to get to 4.0ghz My PC specs: Biostar G41D3c Motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Nirvana Zerotherm nv120 Cooler Kingston Value Ram 1333D3N9K2/8GB Dual Channel Kit (Timings set at 7-7-7-20 running at 1156mhz) Zotac GT520 1GB Video Card M-Audio Sound Card 500GB Hitachi Sata Hard Drive Not sure how many watts my PSU runs, doesnt have any info on it I'd appreciate any kind of help

Hello to all: I started playing BF3 a little over a year ago. Since then I've built a pretty decent system yet I still don't see what I would consider an improvement in my game. Not that I'm great to begin with but I wanted to hear from all what your thoughts are in term of how much does hardware make a difference. I'll list my current system and hope someone can give me some pointers which might tweak hardware more to gain a little more advantage. Mind you, I have to go the hardware route as my reflexes are not what they used to be. No matter how hard I try the twenty something's literally run circles around me. Here goes: iCore 7 3770K OC to 4.4 MHz 2 GTX 670 SLI 4GB SuperClocked (rarely oc the cards). If I do I only boost memory to around 700+ and processor ~40+ 32 GB G.skill ram DDR3 2400 (no oc, don't know how yet) Triple ASUS 144 MHz monitors but game on one. Get too dizzy using the surround feature ASUS p8z77-ws motherboard RAT 7 mouse Razer keyboard Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset System is air cooled entirely Think that's it. Any and all comments, suggestions, tips, and/or criticisms appreciated. Bests,

Hello, This is the first computer that I've built, and I'm having problems to overclock this processor ... I can make it stable at 4.3 with Vcore offset of -0015 and +0012 in the Additional Turbo Voltage. However, if I try to put 45 or even 44 in multi, windows does not load, it gets stuck on the screen that shows the Windows logo (windows 7 x64). Anyone have any tips, or can assist me in any way? I would really like to use 4.5GHz 24/7. Thank you!

Hi Guys, One of my friends suggested i post here regarding my overclocking issues with my 2600k and age (maybe also windows 8...) The CPU used to be a decent overclocker, able to do 5.1 GHz on 1.385v and LLC lvl 10 for shorter stints (staying below 80 degrees celcius), and 4.5ghz as my 24/7 oc using 1.305v and LLC lvl7, super stable and always below 65 degrees celcius. Recently I upgraded to windows 8 (had the release preview and then used the upgrade discount), and since then i've had trouble getting my pc to boot up on anything above 4.5ghz (even tried 1.45v LLC 7 for 4.6GHz), and even on 4.5Ghz it is not stable for any decent length of time, giving me "machine check exeption" or "system service exception" or "dpc watchdog violation" bsod names, all going away once I back off the OC to something like 4.2 GHz on 1.32v and LLC off... I've had this CPU for just about two years now, on the same gigabyte p67a-ud7-b3, the same silver arrow cpu cooler and the same corsair HX750w psu (the silver efficiency one) Is this only processor aging? Is my chip dying? Could it maybe even be my motherboard or psu?
