  5. I have an old computer about 10 years. It began freezing after checking for memory errors I concluded that there was a fault in one of RAM slot as the same RAM which had no errors in another slot(when only at a time single RAM is used) began showing errors in MEMTEST.Please tell can this be fixed and how ??
  6. Looking for some opinions on which board and GPU combo to buy. The ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 with 780 GTX 3GB ($56.74 more) or Asus Crosshair V Formula-z(out of stock everywhere I would buy) with 770 GTX 4GB? I will be doing a dual monitor setup on this and plan on playing some MMO and BF4. The majority of use will be adobe photoshop and VPN into work. I was wondering what your opinions were either way. I think ROG sounds cool but I am not sure how much I would actually use it. Seems like once your overclocking is set to something stable you would just keep it there. Planning on pairing with these components FX-8350 Crucial M500 480GB 2.5-inch Internal SSD THOR V2 case Corsair 760i ps H100i cooler DDR3 1866 32GB
  7. I was doing some cleaningwork on my pc this week and unfortunately broke a pin off of my p8p67 pro board. This obviously results in having to buy a new board, but it's been a while since i last read up on them and the p8p67's aren't sold anymore. Seeing as i need my pc to be up and running again ASAP i also do not have the time to do a lot of research, so I was hoping for a little help. I'm looking for a budget board for about 100-150 euro's with proper OC abilities. This motherboard is the last component that will be changed as I will not upgrade the system anymore before buying a completely new one in a couple of years. Hence im looking for the perfect fit for this setup. I will list everything about my setup as i'm not 100% sure what matters and what doesn't. My pc is currently equipped with the following components: Casing: -CM Storm Scout Case. -OCZ TX750M PSU. -Scythe kaze Master Pro Fan Controller. -3x 120mm fan, 2x 140mm fan, 1x80mm external fan. -1x dvd writer. Components: -i5 2500k Processor. -Scythe Mugen 2 CPU Cooler. -2x XFX hd6870 Black Ed. (Crossfire). -2x Corsair 4 GB module's (CMV4GX3M1A1333C9). -2x Corsair 2 GB module's (CMV4GX3M2A1333C9). -1x Samsung 840 EVO 250Gb SSD.(MZ-7TE250). -1x Western Digital SATA 2.0Tb HDD (WD20EARS). It would be of great help if any of you would share your knowledge with me.

  9. Hello everyone,My PC is like 2 years old for now, and i though of upgrading it a bit. Lets start with how it was at the beginning: Case : Simple case PSU : Cant remember the name, it was a 20$ PSU Mobo : http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4004#ov RAM: 2 GB x2 1333 http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=D32G1333S3&title=Samsung-DDR3-1333-2GB-CL9-Samsung-Chip-Original-Memory GPU : 2 GB Sapphire 6450 HDD : 300GB samsung ( dont know the details) CPU : Intel i3-2100 dual core. Thats how it was when i bought it,after some time i changed some parts, and this is what i have right now: Case : http://store.antec.com/Product/clearance_items/df-35/0-761345-15231-0.aspx PSU : Corsair GS600 Same MOBO Same RAM Same CPU GPU : AMD Sapphire 6870 1GB GDDR5 And here goes the question and the problems. When i got the PSU and GPU i didnt even know if they match my other components,(yes i am not really friendly with hardware),it worked, howether i think i am not getting the maximum from my GPU. What i want to ask you about is this: 1.I want a better CPU for gaming, was thinking about an i5 one. 2.Should i get to 8GB? Do i have to use exact same ram as i have , or i can buy any other 2x2GB 1333? 3.Is my motherboad good enought to handle an i5 CPU and OC it maybe? 4.Should i get an SSD for my system? 5. If i OC the i5,should i get a better fan for that? I mostly use my PC for gaming, and sometimes some rendering. Let's say that i dont really have much money to spent, howether should be enought for an i5 and OC it,the real problem its if my mobo is good enought and if it can handle the i5. Will wait for your answer guys, thanks in advace. PS: if there are any other suggestions you have, please tell me.
  10. Hi, Abit NF7-S - Does anyone have one of these please? An electrolytic capacitor (C475 adjacent to Dimm Slot # 1) is missing on the Mobo that I'd like to use for on my test-bench and I'd like to replace this. Should anyone on here know what value and voltage rating this is meant to be I'd be most grateful to know. Thank you.
