  1. Thank you guys for the Suggestions!

One of the biggest problems I had with looking for the receiver is brand names. I have never heard of Onkyo until yesterday when I started looking at receivers.

It seem's like they have solid specs. I just did not know if I bought one if I would end up with a piece of junk.

I do understand you get what you pay for, but occasionally you will find items that are less pricey and still work great.

Thanks again! I will check out all of these guys and figure out which one suits my purpose best.

    Onkyo has been around since 1946. I have a HT-RC360 and a TX-NR809.

I am happy with both of them.

  2. Well it had to happen sooner or later.

I get 8 dvds a month so the mailing cost is a least $3 for them

plus I am getting streaming too a paying about $8.99+tax.

I will go the streaming and see if they offer enough new movies to hold my interest, if not, well, bye bye Netflix

  3. Yeah - but this is literally 15 minutes from where we live. We *could* have picked it up if they'd let us...but they wouldn't.:vmad:

yea if they were smart they would setup a customer pickup in lieu of delivery. That's way you would just go to the pickup center when it is in. No truck no gas no driver ..smart!

  4. or fix their car, computer, toilet, washing machine, roof, deck, porch etc.

They put you down until they need your service and then they praise you to your face and in the long run still put you down behind your back.

    :P

Yea I see that at work a lot. We have guys out there that don't even know how to start a lawnmower but they have a Masters Degree.

They think they are smart, and they are in a very narrow sense of there schooling.

I was talking about changing the oil in my car and he asked, don't you have to raise up your car to do that? :teehee: DUH

  5. Get a hard drive to usb kit and copy all the files off of it before you start.

If you have the windows disc make the laptop boot from it and proceed to do like a new install and

see if it finds the present one and asks you if you like to repair it.

  6. I would keep what I presently have and replace the old 600w power supply with this much better one if I won.

  7. Probably anything but EVGA lol

This PNY one is cheapest AND lifetime warranty: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133370&cm_re=570_gtx-_-14-133-370-_-Product

you could always get a reference 6950 2GB and unlock to a 6970 too

I agree when you find one at a very good price it becomes to one to get as they are all about the same except for the cooler, the warranty, and the "factory" overclock.

Case in point I bought a factory overclocked EVGA that would clock as high a standard clock PNY card.
