  1. I could live with that for the most part. Losing nearly 20% on Batman would drive me crazy but its her computer. ha ha Edit* Just realized that was for crossfire.
  2. Oooo I wish I could participate but I have less then 60 in the bank.
  3. I feel your pain. I live in a small town and everyone has an old truck. Sounds like simi's driving by.
  4. +1 +1 +1 +1 Still waiting on the Roccat Keyboard. I can't wait to play with it!!!
  5. Thanks. That is what I was thinking but I wanted to make sure. You guys helped alot.
  6. I think you would have alot more space if you picked up a little. Ha ha.
  7. How much of a loss would I take from using a video card with PCIe3.0 on a MB with PCIe2.0? I was planing on upgrading my wifes PC to use either Sapphire HD7850 OC or run it in Crossfire with SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6670 Her specs are Motherboard: ASUS F2A55-M LK PLUS FM2 AMD A55 CPU: AMD-FM2 A8-5600k Ram: 2x4gb ddr3-1600mhz Team Xtreme PSU: Corsair Builder series430 watt. I might have to get a better one to work with the HD7850 The reason for the bigger card is that she wants to buy a 27 inch screen and run WoW on max. Right now she can run WoW at high with a 19 inch screen at 1280X1040 and she gets about 30fps on average. I have not overclocked it yet as I need more fans in my case as well as a better CPU fan.
  8. Well I did not get it to work exactly like I wanted it to but I am good with it now. Time to forget about this nightmare. lol What happend to our old sig? Will it ever work again or should I just delete it? I thought it looked cool so it would be a shame to get rid of it.
  9. Ahh. How did you get the orange in the grills? If I were to paint it would not have turned out that nice. Oh wait, I see now. It came in multi pieces. You can't tell after its put together. They did a nice job of making it for you.
  10. +1...... See my sig... loooowwww ppd. Need some new gpus. How did you get that sig? Our ones broke so i found this instead. http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/?nav=IMAGES I can make the img but for some reason I can't add it to my sig. Just shows the URL. This is the link to my img. http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php?un=DrDigitized2&t=12772u=32359&c1=FFFFFF&c2=000000&c3=000000&c4=0000CC&c5=FFFFFF
  11. I asked this in another thread but I will post it here to see if all is well. I have been trying to get my AMD 7950 to work but it wont let me. Keeps saying "At present your GPU is not supported and you need a current driver. You may wish to consider running our standard client, which you can download at folding.stanford.edu" Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get around this? I have spent hours trying to figure it our on my own but I feel it is a waste of time. One other thing I noticed today. I thought it was running to slow so I started watching the viewer and it would run 60 iter / sec for about 30 seconds and thin it would slow down to 1 iter / sec unless I clicked on it. I don't have anything running on my computer at the moment and I turned off sleep and hibernate along time ago so I don't what could be causing this. Did I set it up wrong? I selected for Core Priority: Lowest Possible. Set CPU usage percent at 100 even though my computer says its only using about 30% I checked Do NOT lock cores to specific CPU Please let me know what you think. Thanks. I think the problem I had with the viewer is just the viewer freezing up for who knows why. I don't think it had anything to do with the actual folding. I think the reason it seems to go slow is that I am just now starting to fold the big files. But even then why is it not pulling more resources to work faster?
  12. I totally agree. Did you do it yourself?

  15. Ha ha. I just realised that I mentioned the wrong thread. I am not the only other person that had this question. lol. This was my thread that did move to the next page. Sorry. Link to my thread.
  16. Sorry.. if I came off that way I did not mean it. But if you read what I had asked you will see that I was asking for the same thing. I wanted to spend even less then 50 bucks. I just looked at that thread and even though I started it for some reason my original post is not there. Hmm. And yes. Most of the keyboards were over that mark but from what everyone said in that thread there really isn't one for under 50 bucks. This is the one I bought Logitech G105 CoD MW3 Keyboard. Right now it is about 32 bucks. Its the same keyboard as the G105 except its the MW3 edition. The original one cost 80 bucks so you can see why I went with the MW3 version even thought its not really a game I play. But like I said. I am sorry if I came across rude.
  17. Well, I went to the store and bought a wired 360 controller. I just think I will enjoy it more for the computer then I would my PS3 controller. Thanks for the help.
  18. I had this same question last week. You most not of looked at the forums before you posted because it is right on the front of this forum. Here is a link. Gaming Keyboard
  19. Ok. Thanks for the advice. Now would you guys recommend the wireless controller or a wired one?

    hello

Welcome. OCC is the best when it come to free great advice.
  21. Oh I wish I had the extra money to donate but with college coming this year I just don't have the extra cash. I found out that the tools alone are going to cost me around $5.5k Well there goes our tax return this year. lol
  22. I am looking to find the best PC Controller to play games like Sleeping dogs, GTA, and Dirt 3. I already have a nice controller for flying games but I would like a nice comfortable Gaming pad. I have a PS3 controller but I find using it awkward and I do not believe that you can get the rumble to work although last time I tried to mess with it was years ago and I never really gave it a chance. I know that Microsoft makes some and so does Logitech. I was going to get a Razer one today but then after looking at the reviews I found that it has alot of quality issues. Also what is the best software to use to make it run as seamlessly as possible.
  23. Well look at what I started here. It looks like you all have your own opinions on what is best. lol. I have heard that Mechanical keys are best but to be honest I still don't under stand the difference and I have tried to look it up but just got more confused. I did however settle on a keyboard and mouse. I bought both the of the CoD MW3 mouse and keyboard because I like most Logitech devices as long as they are not wireless. I have never had good luck with wireless. I ended up giving my old Logitech G5 mouse to my wife and then we won the Roccat Isku Gaming Keyboard from the OCC Christmas Contest which my wife promptly said was hers and I figure that was best so that I would keep both the CoD devices together on one computer. CoD is by far not my favorite game but its not so bad that I would pass up on the great deal that Amazon was having on both of them seeing as the standard edition was still more than twice the price.. Now we can finally retire her old Compaq keyboard that she has had longer then she has known me and we have been married for 8 years and have had 3 children together. So thanks to you guys, OCC, and Roccat we both have gaming keyboards and mice.
  24. In my case I was drunk and picked that moment to get into overclocking. I wasnt quite so young but defnitely stupid. Poor thing lasted all of 5 seconds before it went Pop and a bad smell came from the case. Overclocking is scary your first time. Hell I have done it about 5 times over that past year and I am still guessing at most of it. But it still works and I am happy with that even if I don't get the most out of my parts. My i5 2500k CPU overclocked to 4700MHz idles at about 24/28C and at load it is about 55C with a triple rad and my GIGABYTE GV-R795WF3-3GD Radeon HD 7950 Overclocked Core to 1100MHz and Memory to 1575MHz run idle at 30C and maxed between 55/60C but I also let my fans go fast and loud because I figure that I don't really hear it while I am playing games anyways and the lower the temp the longer it will last me. I beleave those are within acceptable temps but then again I am a noob at this OC stuff.
