  5. If you're gonna use craigslist you should always have the smell of fish in the back of your head. Its not even as good as a newspaper ad.. Something better will populate soon. Hopefully
  6. ya if i was gonna spend the money to go between the 6950 or 560ti, i'd probably just go with a 470 otherwise i'd just get the 6870

  8. EDIT: Alright fixed it, just wrote it out, let me know what ya think Also, having a hard time deciding between these three: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130550 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130604&cm_re=GeForce_GTX_560_Ti-_-14-130-604-_-Product http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125363&cm_re=GeForce_GTX_560_Ti-_-14-125-363-_-Product
  9. Hahaha what? Oh, okay... sorry got ahead of myself! This better not be about that silly picture.. lol Be right back, not going to spam, I still havent made my rounds. Its not like I joined this forum for contests.
  10. Oh whatever.. its hardly a difference with that split and he'd be saving money my way, he's not even here to push his performance manually like that he's here to get best for his budget. Plus its completely different latency, he's going to be buying more expensive ram thats going to run a slower latency than the one stick in the first place, unless he learns to OC. Plus if you were to upgrade you'd want the space for the full 16 in the long run, so some would say it'd be small minded to waste the time with 2x2gbs. As for the processor, not true, gtfo. Reading helps.
  11. http://forums.overclockersclub.com/index.php?showtopic=182694 one of those ;D
  12. Basically put together two of the best builds factoring in price vs. performance between AMD and Intel and trying to keep it ~$800 and came up with these: AMD build ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890GX - $149.99 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition - $199.99 XFX HD-685X-ZDFC Radeon HD 6850 1GB - $184.99 G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 PC1333 - $84.99 Intel build ASRock P55 EXTREME4 LGA 1156 USB 3.0 - $149.99 Intel Core i5-2500K - $228.99 EVGA 012-P3-1470-AR GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1GB - $259.99 G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 PC1600 - $99.99 I'm using these benchmark charts vs. price to get my general idea. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html and http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html By doing this I realized Intel really isn't a bad way to go.. it's only $80-100 more for their better efficiency and performance.. But before I go making any real decisions.. If ya have any personal experience opinions or upgrade options (mostly on the mobos) give and take a few bucks, please let me know! EDIT: Switched from Newegg link to text.
  13. x6 1090T No idea what that other guys talkin' about 1055T for http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Phenom+II+X6+1090T
  14. Oh i thought this was the lounge area.. Shouldn't always have to be a "techy" poll
  15. Sweeeet, thats not a bad app.. bio, trivia, tabs, tunes.. Why not!? Love me some Zepp
  16. SpeedwayNative just pointed out that MicroCenter is giving the i7-950 ifor $199.99 over there.. $100 off, making it the same price as the x6 1090T, yet a hint more efficient Only problem is you have to do in-store pickup, and they're only placed in certain areas.
  17. WHAT!? $100 off?! How do they do it... they need to build more stores.
  18. Atleast try for the AMD Athlon II X4 640 if its only 10$ more, you cant go wrong! the x2 gets a PC Mark around 2,200 (the higher the number the better the performance) the x4 gets around 3,500 for $10 you cant beat that difference (even if you don't understand what it means) the second chart down on this page: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Athlon+II+X4+640 shows that its actually more of a deal than the x6! definite best bang for the bargain ALSO! dont forget you need a different type of ram now to meet your mobo's latency! i'd go with the 1 stick of 4gb, its $10 cheaper than buying 2x2gb's, and the smartest route if ever want to upgrade/get the most out of your mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231310 now you should be good to go.. hella decent build for only $250
