Don't want to spend a ton.
  2. Noctua's website says they will so i should be good if i do switch to SB when it re-releases. im not sure yet it all depends on pricing since i can get i7-950 for 200 at microcenter
  3. i was actually looking into the Ripjaw X Series and was just wondering what people thought of them. Since i know SB will be better once it re-releases. It all depends on prices then what i get. Im in game design/programming and will use it for that as well as gaming. I will be overclocking.
  4. I was thinking about switching my CPU to SB instead of the i7-950 i was going to build once SB errors are fixed. I was just wondering what you guys had to say about this RAM. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231440 or if you had any other suggestions for 8GB (2x4GB) CPU: Intel i7-950 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 570 RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Radioactive 6GB (3 x 2GB) Case: HAF 942 X CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 7200 RPM SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 80GB SSD PSU: Seasonic Gold X760 DVD: SONY Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Wireless: Belkin F5D8055 USB 2.0 Wireless N+ USB Adapter Keyboard/Mouse: Any suggestions? 5. what would be good ram for 2x4gb. Ive looked a lot into 3x2gb but no dual channel memory.
  6. Hey there, I just had a quick question. I have my current build set, but I'm prob not buying it for a little bit. Now I know SB will be getting fixed soon, so what I was wondering is if i waited a few months for SB, Which pieces from this build would I have to change to be compatible for SB. CPU: Intel i7-950 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 570 RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Radioactive 6GB (3 x 2GB) Case: HAF 942 X CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 7200 RPM SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 80GB SSD PSU: Seasonic Gold X760 DVD: SONY Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Wireless: Belkin F5D8055 USB 2.0 Wireless N+ USB Adapter Keyboard/Mouse: Any suggestions? Don't want to spend a ton.
  7. Which would you recommend between the 2x gtx 560 or the single gtx 580. Also i don't know anything about raid, but i could easily look into that. What advantages does it give? because i know when my hdd are raided they act as 1 hdd. so if 1 fails i lose everything versus non raided i just lose that hdd.
  8. I was actually thinking about upgrading my Mobo to either the ASUS R3E or the Gigabyte UD7, but I don't know the differences between the 2. And getting a 120GB SSD instead of 80GB. that will put me at about 1770.
  9. Alright so right now I have my current build and it costs me about 1500-1600 dollars. I am planning on buying it soon, but I had some questions because I may be able to spend up to 1700-1800 for it. Or I might only be able to spend around 1200-1300. So I was wondering if I have a higher budget which of these pieces should I upgrade. Or if I have a lower budget which should i downgrade. CPU: Intel i7-950 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 570 RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Radioactive 6GB (3 x 2GB) Case: HAF 942 X CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 7200 RPM SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 120GB SSD PSU: Seasonic Gold X760 DVD: SONY Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Wireless: Belkin F5D8055 USB 2.0 Wireless N+ USB Adapter Keyboard/Mouse: Any suggestions? 10. well actually the radioactive are the cheapest (90). blackline is (110) and ridgeback are (120) the dominators were (130). so im probably going to get them.
  11. Hey there guys, i was just wondering if any of you knew how well these RAM overclock. Mushkin Enhanced Radioactive 6GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226181
  12. those look like some really nice RAM. Funny that they come in a metal box, since they are radioactive lol. But how do they compare to dominators, or the ripjaws. For the price they really look good. Wouldnt match anything in my computer but i dont really care about that.
  13. well i actually changed my psu. but on my copy paste i didnt update it. I am getting the 750w seasonic. in my post i said i wanted 6gb (3x2gb)
  14. Hi there guys, I don't know which RAM i should get. I was going to get Corsair Dominator, but i just realized that it wont fit with the Noctua NH-D14 unless i remove the top heatspreader. So I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for 6GB (3x2GB) CPU: Intel i7-950 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 570 Case: HAF 942 X CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 7200 RPM SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 120GB SSD PSU: Seasonic Gold X750 DVD: SONY Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Wireless: Belkin F5D8055 USB 2.0 Wireless N+ USB Adapter Monitor: Asus VE248H Black 24" 1920X1080 Keyboard/Mouse: Any suggestions? Don't want to spend a ton.
  15. well i can get a brand new i7-950 and a new gigabyte ud3r for 390. so i think i will just stay that way. i dont need a new monitor right now. I will prob just get the set with the SSD and then later in the year get a new monitor.
