  1. I can't figure out why I'm getting these different cpu frequency readings. I'm getting 4420 MHz from AMD Overdrive, yet from CPU-Z I'm getting a reading of 3795 MHz. Does anyone know why these are different. Look at the attached picture for any more information.
  2. Awesome! Well, I do have two bridges. I will move one of them over probably tomorrow and let y'all know how it goes. And, thank you all so much for offering the CrossFire bridges. I'm fairly new to this forum and so far I have been incredibly impressed. I never thought I would be able to say that a forum was hospitable. Thanks again.
  3. Do you have specifications on your 1090t that you can give me to get 4.2?
  4. My motherboard is the MSI 890FXA-GD70, which does have PCI-Ex16 x5. Also, each card has two bridges, and right now cards 1 and are connect on both. What needs to happen is move the second one from 1-2 to 2-3. Here's a link to what I'm talking about: http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-4850-and--4870-crossfirex-performance/2
  5. I'm in a fairly advanced C++ algorithms class and my professor just gave us students an assignment to implement brute force algorithms into functions such as string matching, permutation and combination problems, and closet pair functions. This seems fairly trivial, yet he made it very clear that we would run into many problems in the debugging phase. Can y'all foresee any difficulties in this assignment. I haven't started yet, but I should probably pretty soon considering he might be right haha.
  6. I'm trying to do a little research on how far I will be able to push my 1100T. I've heard of many systems being able to reach 4Ghz stabilized, and that's on just air cooling. I'm hoping I can get higher than that because I'm on liquid cooling and the CPU has even hit 30 degrees Celsius and that's with a full stress test on.
  7. Just another update: I've recently been hearing a lot of talk about Crysis 2. Do y'all think that it will be as difficult to run for today's pc's as Crysis was for the day it came out. At the time Crysis was the benchmark that everyone wanted to reach, but that game came out around 3 years ago. I just think that it is time for a new definite standard.
  8. So, I recently received my new computer which includes a ridiculous 3-Way CrossFire 6950 set up. Unfortunately, only it's is set up for just CrossFire with the third card just sitting on the motherboard. Obviously there is more to gain if I set it up for 3-Way, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that. Any advice on how to disconnect one of the connections from card 1-2 and move it from 2-3? I know it can be done, and I know that when it is done it's bad butt. Any tips would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  9. How do you feel about custom PC websites such as CyberPowerPC.com and iBuyPower.com? Some of the deals seem a little too sweet. Have you or anybody you know ordered a PC from one of these sites?
  10. I'm only asking because I'm looking for a game that will look the most graphically stunning. I'm running 3-Way Crossfire with 3x AMD Radeon HD 6950. I've been playing Crysis and kind of wanting more. Is Metro 2033 a game that you all would recommend?
  11. What do you all think to be the most graphically demanding game out right now or going to be realeased relatively soon? I've asked other people their opinions and most still respond with Crysis. I agree that Crysis was ahead of it's time, but not that far ahead.
