    Diablo 3

I'm a wizard doing 16k dmg, 6.1k armor and 700 all resists. I am focusing mroe on defence rather than most glass cannons out there, and thats not my style to kite the whole game. Hence my pathetic damage... I am saving up for a high damage weapon though. I still can't kill mobs fast enough in Act 2 Inferno but its impossible for me to die in Act 1 Inferno. Unless I am stupid and stand in Arcane beams and Desecrator lol
  2. Anyone know if this 12.6 one is better than 12.4 for 5xxx series?
  3. I think it looks pretty neat. I might get one as a substitute for a laptop as I was looking to purchase a laptop that I won't be gaming on, so this actually might be viable as a replacement.
  4. I was recently having problems with Diablo 3 graphics glitchy too... Can you take a screenshot of what kind of "artifacts" you're talking about? It might be same as my case.
  5. Yeah my ride was stiff as a raging boner. Even though I didnt drift with it, I tracked it a few times. front strut bar, rear strut bar, lower tie bar and semi-solid diff bushings haha FCs are indeed a great platform...so easy to work on, and just overall good looking.

    Diablo 3

Yeah a couple of my friends quit playing until the recent patch came out (1.03) and some are actually holding off buying until PvP comes out, but they are die-hard Diablo fans so they are set on buying it as soon as they give the PvP, and patches along with it too.
  7. I agree that while slamming the car aggresively and having camber is sick, I have grown out of it and found that it is a pain to go over speedbumps and etc. I had an Rx7 FC a while back, with coilovers dropping it really low. Having to go on my driveway sideways everyday, it gets pretty annoying haha. Was a sexy car...had to sell it for school I just put on coilovers to get that extra slammed look, not really to go into drifting. Now I realize that I could have gotten some lowering springs and struts and maybe I could have had a more comfortable ride LOL This was when I finally raised the car a little bit, and without spacers. God I miss this car D:
  8. Update: Warcraft 3 always glitches, Diablo 3 sometimes glitches and sometimes it would be perfectly normal. This all started happening after I let my computer run overnight doing a bit of folding. Maybe that damaged the card? It was on an OC then. Anyways I have concluded that it is a GPU problem and will be replacing my 5770 with something a little more powerful under $200, when my videocard decides to crap out on me more often than now. This 5770 has served me extremely well for 2 years!

    Diablo 3

I know this game has its problems but after today's patch 1.03, many things have been fixed and Blizzard is communicating with us to patch even more things. It is definitely playable and there is nothing wrong with the gameplay. It is a big change from D2 but I think I am getting used to it and just accepting the facts. And it's been enjoyable for me. Most people who are complaining are comparing it to D2 with its many patches and an expansion. Just their nostalgia is getting in the way to enjoy this new game it seems. Trust me I was a hardcore D2 player, and honestly I think D3 will be just as good as D2 given 1-2 more patches. I guess I just didnt have issues with the errors and the extreme lag some people have been getting. Oh well. If I was working in Blizzard, I would add/patch a couple more things in the future patch: - Add guild system with chat -Increase the amount of people that can join to 5+ people ( just so all 5 classes can maybe join in? And I have more than 4 friends who play it...) -Add duel system in game but safe in town like D2 ( PvP is going to be in a set arena and is coming in future patch, I want some open world PK ) -Buff certain skills so they are actually viable ( They are doing this in future patch) -Legendaries are actually unique and powerful ( They are doing this in future patch) -Add more socketable items like in D2 ( They are probably going to add this in the expansion.)
  10. Well, after the 12.4 patch, nothing really changed. I still have graphics glitching on WC3 but I played Diablo 3 for an hour and it was fine lol....whats going on with warcraft??
  11. I am downloading 12.4 drivers right now, and temps are fine. It never goes above 67 C. I did run furmark, and I passed it i'll see if it still happens after the driver update.
  12. Hi guys, I turned on Warcraft 3 today and it was making artifacts, like someone was slicing my screen constantly with a sword. It would shatter and etc, but I could still make out most of the screen. I turned on Diablo 3 and it was working fine, but maybe a little stuttering. Starcraft 2 plays perfectly with no stuttering. So I quickly turned down my videocard's OC to Stock, and it still happens. Everything in the Windows desktop looks fine, except when I click the start button, you know the left side column has my recently used programs, and the background is white? Well there are some pixels jumping around there. Also, the SC2 loading screen (which is 2d?) had some pixels jumping around too. Tiny little pixels. I don't have another videocard to test with...I guess I could try to borrow my friend's monitor and try to see if it's my monitor that is dying but that does not seem likely as my Diablo 3 and SC2 plays fine with no interruptions. WHAT DO U GUYS THINK??
  13. UPDATE on this: The system has been built at the price above with that spec. Here's my thoughts. Building this system was a breeze. Everything clicked in nicely and well. I love the Antec One. I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone looking for a midrange gaming case for cheap. Looks sharp, build quality is top notch, and just unbeliable for its price. This is my first build of an AMD system. There was nothing different than building an Intel one, but I gotta say, the heatsink that came with the 3870k was a disappointment. It is the smallest stock heatsink I have ever put my hands on. Not to mention it came with a fan that is smaller than 80mm. Doesnt even cover the whole heatsink. The system has not been stressed tested or fully updated ( still BIOS and Drivers to install ), but I need to go to work now. When I get back, I will post some numbers on idle temps and load temps. I am curious because the heatsink looks weak as ****. Even without any drivers or BIOS update,, the first boot to Windows 7 was pretty smooth. I think my friend will be super happy. Also, this is my first time using a case with the holes in the back for cable management, and also the first time I have used a FULLY modular PSU. They both contributed to a nice, clean innards of the case. I did my best, but if I planned it out more, I think it could look better. Some pics:
  14. Yay it is working, and proud to be a member of the OCC! Wowzors we are rank 62! I will hopefully be of help to getting to top 60 later on!

Welcome. Im sure you'll find this place a great hangout.
  16. I don't understand why it isnt showing up. I registered exactly as my OCC name and started folding as of today! I don't see my name on the team list either...Is it because I haven't fully completed a whole thing of the work unit? It is only at 5%. Also, when do I get that DNA icon showing up?
  17. I don't see the point in space travel. Why not spend that time on improving life on Earth? We haven't even discovered all the animals and plant species in the jungles and deep sea. How about focusing on the planet we live in instead of venturing out in space where it costs millions more resources to get there. Space exploration is pretty cool, but I think thats all it is. "Pretty cool". I think most people will disagree with me, but Id rather see that money go into research facilities in hospitals and education.
  18. You don't need that antistatic wriststrap, never used it once in any of my builds.
  19. I don't know if you are willing to give a straight answer to this or not but: Is your Windows legit? Cuz I had a friend who had a pirated Windows and yeah, it had a hidden keylogger deep down. He'll probably never ever think of pirating an OS again.
  20. Yes there is two PCI slots available on the motherboard so that can be installed no problem.
  21. Looks like a really solid case as well. The only thing I don't like about it is that the HDD cages are not sideways, which in my opinion looks cleaner and is easier to plug in and hide the cables behind the case. I have not really heard of the brand Cougar much, but wow that looks like a really great case for the price.
  22. I have had experience with Mushkin products and they have always performed well for me, and reliably. I would go with whatever you feel like, the Corsair one I listed is great too. But this one is cheaper, and no rebates.
  23. No problem Check the original post for more stuff I put in as an entire system setup. Those parts listed are really good.
  24. The OP said no OC or aftermarket heatsinks will be involved. Here's what I think will be a great platform. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128543 - $119.99 The Z77 chipset motherboard has all the great features like USB3.0, SATA III, PCIE3.0 and its a 1155 socket, which supports the Sandybridge CPU ur getting and also the Ivybridge in case you want to upgrade. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115077 - $149.99 Intel's 3rd gen i3 is a really great processor for cheap. 3.4 GHz and this processor will outperform most similar priced AMD processors in gaming. Since you won't be OCing, I chose the highest clock speed the Intel i3 has to offer. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102993 -$149.99 with $15 in rebalte for a total of $134.99 7770 is a great bang for the buck card. Has all the latest features like DX11 and PCIE3.0, and will definitely run those games you mentioned on max settings well. This one comes factory overclocked, with extra appropriate cooling in addition. Grand total: $404.97 This should be a really solid base for gaming ! Hope it helped. Edit: After reading your response, I have put together a solid system for $701.93. Just added these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129181 - $49.99 USB 3.0 front panel, great cable routing, tool-less hard drive mounting, air filters and all black paint all for only 50 bucks. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020 - $84.99 with $20 in rebate = $64.99 Corsair is a great brand for power supplies. 650 W will be plenty of power for this system and will be able to handle any other upgrades later on. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233180 - $46.99 8GB of RAM will leave you with a ton of memory to do whatever you want. Won't ever need anymore than this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233191 - $129.99 with $30 in rebate = $99.99 Fast, 120GB SSD from Corsair. SATA III capable. Price is so sweet.
  25. There's nothing cheaper than $17.5 unfortunately.
