  1. I just bought a Phenom ii X6 1055t the other day and I cannot get it past 3.4 GHz, the system hangs at the windows starting screen as well, anybody have any suggestions? Tried upping the voltage and the same thing happens, with turbo core turned off I can set the fsb to 243 max any higher and I get the hang at the "starting windows" screen. My mobo is a Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H with 4x1Gb DDR2 1066.
  2. I currently have a set of 2Gb GEIL Black Dragon DDR2 1066 dimms in my motherboard, ordered another set the other day identical to the ones I have because I am upgrading my mobo. Got them in the mail this morning and decided to test them while I wait for my new motherboard to arrive. The new set reads as 1071 when booting up instead of 1066, also I changed all settings in the bios to stock before trying the new dimms out. The only thing I changed was the memory multiplier to x5.33 in the bios to get the listed frequency of the ram. Is there something wrong with the dimms or could it be something I missed? My current mobo is a Gigabyte GA-MA740GM-S2 Revision 4.1 if that helps any.
