    In a world of crap

I think since you found a bent CPU pin, that may be the culprit in causing your system to fail. How did you fix it? And are you sure it is making solid contact with the motherboard? Unlikely to PSU/Motherboard if you disconnected the power cord when changing PC components. You would have to be very unlucky for it to fail after changing cpu thermal paste....

    In a world of crap

I would start by checking all your power connections and CPU fan connections. Maybe something has gotten loose when you were cleaning the computer.

Help me perfect my Gaming Build!

One thing you may want to take notice of is your RAM. Intel officially recommends a 1.5v maximum for your RAM. The Kingston RAM you selected uses a 1.65v to reach its advertised speeds.
  5. As Stonerboy said.. why are you installing NVIDIA drivers on AMD cards? What you need to do is: Get the latest graphics driver from AMD website and do a clean install of the new drivers. DO NOT INSTALL NVIDIA DRIVERS!!
  6. Test the new card by itself to check if it is working properly. If it does work, try getting into the windows screen (with one card only or which ever configuration that won't hang during boot) and reinstall the graphic card drivers.

    University - [New Laptop]

I think in the end, it comes down to what do you plan to do with the laptop. Are you going to just game with it? Or will you take it with you to university and take notes/work with it?

  11. What sort of things are you going to use your laptop for? For gaming, the MSI one would definitely beat the other options. Its graphic power is similar to the desktop GTX 460 768mb. However, don't expect too much gaming on battery since battery life is poor (maybe 1 hour if your lucky) with every gaming notebook. For work, ASUS Ultrabook wins since it is very portable, has a good battery life. Gaming wise, you should be able to play a few modern games on low (such as SC2, COD:MW2, WoW). The ASUS G53 slots in between those, It should have a slightly better battery life than MSI one but only with graphics power similar to a desktop AMD 5770. In terms of build quality, I don't think you will have any major issues with all three laptops. The ASUS laptops may have a slightly better cooling than the MSI.

    acer warranty policy sucks

Well, to be fair to the manufacturer, it IS functioning 100% properly. And if you think about it, 1 pixel in 1680x1050 or 1920x1080 pixels is like minuscule....

    acer warranty policy sucks

How big is the red dot? It is just one pixel on the screen? Generally, most monitor manufacturers do not replace the screen if it only has 1 or 2 dead/stuck pixels, as it is within the manufacturing error margin.

    Help needed please.

Try booting into safe mode and see if the fingerprint reader/ the password works. Otherwise I think your only option is to re-install windows....
