    Darksiders Genesis Releases

Today Darksiders Genesis has released, finally allowing players to play as Strife, the last of the series' Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse to be playable. Unlike the other Darksiders games that had us playing as War, Death, and Fury, Darksiders Genesis offers a top-down perspective and co-op experience, so Strife can travel through Hell with War at his side. With today's release, it is available on PC and on Google Stadia. For those wanting to play it on console, it will come to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on February 14, 2020.     Source: THQ Nordic Back to original news post
  9. Today EK Water Blocks announced it is releasing new EK-Vardar EVO 140 ER D-RGB fans. These 140 mm fans feature nine addressable LEDs under its motor hub and its seven fan blades are transparent, but frosted to disperse the light. The lighting is controlled by a standard 3-pin 5 V D-RGB connector, so it can work with any controller that also uses that standard. Turning to the fan specifications, these are high-static pressure fans targeting high-performance liquid cooling systems. They are PWM controlled and offer an extended range from 400 RPM up to 1600 RPM, allowing you to tune for noise and performance as you wish. If the fan curve is set to below 25-30%, depending on the motherboard, the fan's Start-Stop function will trigger the motor and electronics to turn off, so the fan will go completely silent until it is needed again. EK-Vardar EVO 140ER D-RGB fans are available for purchase already at EK's webshop and via its reseller network with a price of $28.99. Source: EK Water Blocks Back to original news post

Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom at 50% off: $14.99. EXOR Studios' Games Sale
  12. Those enjoying Dead Cells should be happy to know that in Q1 of 2020 it will be receiving The Bad Seed DLC. This will be a paid DLC, costing $4.99, but it does not mark the end to the game's free post-launch content though, as free content, balancing, and systemic updates will still be coming on a steady rhythm and at the same quality seen this year. The revenue generated by this DLC will help the team continue to deliver those updates though. With The Bad Seed, players will get to enter two new biomes; the Arboretum and the Swamp. While the Arboretum is a lush paradise, its creatures are deceivingly adorable. The Swamp contains an overgrown arboreal settlement, and while it is home to ambushing blow gunners and spear wielders, it is also the only escape from the giant purple ticks that dominate the ground. If you are able to overcome these perils, you will be rewarded with new weapons, including the first double slot weapon and a very dedicated and loyal mushroom companion. The Bad Seed is launching in 2020 Q1 for PC and consoles at a price of $4.99.     Source: Press Release Back to original news post
  13. Though it may have gotten its last major update, HITMAN 2 is not done yet and the roadmap for missions, old and new, for this month has been revealed. Two Escalations will be released tomorrow for the Santa Fortuna and Mumbai maps, and then a Legacy Elusive Target comes the day after. December 12 sees another Escalation release, again on Mumbai, but also the beginning of 12 Days of Contracts, a community initiative started on the Hitman Forum. Those with the Legacy maps will get two Holiday-themed missions unlocked on December 17, and they will remain available permanently. The Holiday Hoarders map in Paris and Hokkaido Snow Festival Legacy missions and their unlocks, Santa 47 suit, ice pick, and Snow Festival Suit will all be accessible permanently after that day. There are also a couple Escalations coming on December 17, with one on the Isle of Sgail and the other in the Legacy Paris map. Finally, December 20 will have the start of an Elusive Target on the Isle of Sgail, and this will have an extended run time, being available until January 6.     Source: IO Interactive Back to original news post
  14. Four Firefox extensions have been removed by Mozilla from its repository following reports of data collection from Wladimir Palant, the creator of the Adblock Plus extension. The extensions are Avast Online Security, AVG Online Security, Avast SafePrice, and AVG SafePrice, and as Avast owns AVG it is understandable that these extensions are related. The reason Palant reported them is he discovered the two Online Security extensions were collecting what amounts to your browsing history and sending it to Avast servers, and after checking the SafePrice extensions he found the same behavior. Such data collection is against the terms Mozilla has for extension developers, as it is for Google too but while Mozilla has removed the extensions, Google has not yet done the same for its Chrome Webstore. The extensions are also available from the Opera Add-ons site, so Palant has sent a report there as well. In Palant's two blog posts on the matter he explains that some amount of data collection can make sense, for some cases for extensions meant to report when you are visiting a compromised or malicious website. Such extensions would work by checking a list of known malicious sites and then reporting the result, but these extensions were collecting far more information than necessary. Palant found the full URL, referring webpage and your country code, amongst other pieces of information, were all being sent to the Avast servers, potentially allowing for your browser history to be reconstructed. At the moment, Mozilla has only disabled the listing of the extensions, but they have not been blacklisted. This means they can remain active for those who already have the extensions installed, but no one should be able to find and install them from the extension repository. Palant states Mozilla is talking with Avast about this, which is why the extensions have not been blacklisted. Source: ZDNet, Palant.de [1] and [2] (Initial discovery) Back to original news post
  15. Players of Townsmen: A Kingdom Rebuilt may be happy to hear it will be receiving The Seaside Empire DLC in early 2020. With this DLC, players will get to settle new empires around the Mediterranean, an environment with a new look and feel, as well as new buildings. The coastal harbor will increase your trade options while the military castle will make defense easier. There are also new decorations for your town, with the Inn capable of generating money the more beautiful the town is, and there are other useful buildings to try as well. The DLC brings more than just a new location and buildings though, but also moral choices and decisions with new short story events. There will be six new scenarios, nine endless mode maps, unique skins for every building, eleven new buildings, new songs to enjoy, and new scenery. The Seaside Empire will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch in early 2020, and when the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are ready, there will be a bundle version that includes the DLC with the base game.     Source: HandyGames Back to original news post

  20. This is some news that might be rather unexpected by many, but it is being reported by Pulse, a South Korean news organization, that Samsung has won orders to produce chips for Intel. For quite some time now Intel has been struggling to keep up with demand, likely due to a combination of factors. One is the general growth in computers and another theory is that delays on deploying its 10 nm process at its on fabs has forced Intel to stay on its 14 nm processes longer than planned. To address this, it appears Intel reached out to both TSMC and Samsung, the world's two largest foundries, about producing chips and Samsung won the contract. As TSMC is a strong manufacturing partner for AMD, it is not too surprising Samsung was selected between the two, but it is still interesting to see Intel going to another company for producing, reportedly, desktop processors. Intel has turned to other foundries to produce some parts, but not necessarily entire processors or processors meant for desktops. Pulse does not state what products specifically will be produced by Samsung, but it may prove interesting to find out in the future and if there are any differences between Intel and Samsung made products, as their specific fabrication processes are likely different. Intel may share some of its process with Samsung to address this, but there could still be variations. We will just have to wait and see what comes of this news. 21. Codemasters, the developers behind racing games such as F1 2019, DiRT Rally 2.0, and GRID have announced they are acquiring Slightly Mad Studios, the developers of the Project CARS games. Slightly Mad Studios has also developed two Need for Speed games for EA, besides its own IP and there is an unannounced Hollywood blockbuster title coming to Codemaster's portfolio via this acquisition as well. With Slightly Mad Studios joining Codemasters, the latter is going to clearly be a global powerhouse in creating racing titles, between Codemaster's 30 years and Slight Mad Studio's 10 years of experience. Both Frank Sagnier, CEO of Codemasters Group plc, and Ian Bell, Founder and CEO of Slightly Mad Studios, will remain in their positions. Source: Codemasters Back to original news post
  22. It is that time of year when almost every store in the United States at least is holding a sale of some kind or another. That does make it impossible to find the best deals at all of them, but here are some sales and deals to maybe consider, and please share more you find in the forum thread for this news item. Both Steam and the Epic Games Store have already begun their sales. While the Epic Games Store is still fairly new and thus has a smaller library to choose from, it may still be worth checking out. If nothing else, you can get Bad North: Jotunn Edition for free for the remainder of the day and starting tomorrow Rayman Legends, as part of the store's free game every week. Steam, with its significantly larger library has a greater selection of games, including various Stardock games with some as much as 80% off. The sale also includes some of Stardock's software too, such as Fences and Groupy. Dead Cells, which has gotten some significant free content updates since launch, is also on sale for 30% off if you are looking for a metroidvania roguelike. GOG has begun its Black Friday Sale now as well, with over 2000 games on sale, including new games and classics, all DRM-free. Naturally The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is on sale at 70% off for the GOTY Edition, which is hard to pass up, and you can also find the classics Diablo with its Hellfire expansion on sale and the Warcraft I & II Bundle. There are flash sales for today only, so you may want to check out the storefront to see what comes up. Also celebrating the season are the Humble Store, EA Origin, and Ubisoft UPlay if you want to check still more digital store fronts for game deals. Of course there is more than just games on sale as you can find numerous pieces of hardware on sale at Amazon, Newegg, BestBuy, and more. Monitors, laptops, CPUs, and GPUs can all be found on sale, and more may go on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I will leave it to you to find the best deals for you (and to maybe share them in the comments) but it looks like you may be able to build a reasonably modern and powerful computer for one or two hundred dollars off the usual price for components with these sales on brands including Corsair, G.Skill, AMD, Intel, NVIDIA, MSI, EVGA, Gigabyte, Asus, Acer, and more. Have a great holiday everyone who celebrates, and great sales to everyone looking for deals. Back to original news post

  24. HandyGames has announced a new game coming from Seed by Seed that will allow you to play as the ultimate toy for numerous cats and even some children; the cardboard box. Pile Up! turns players into a Boxling and places environmental puzzles before them to solve alone or with up to three friends in co-op. Players can drop in and out freely with the puzzle challenge changing dynamically to fit the player count. Like the Boxlings, the world is made of cardboard as you explore its sub-baked islands, amber forests, and vibrant caves to solve puzzles in. If you feel more like a different kind of gameplay with your friends, you can challenge them to games of Boxball, Pile of Dunk, or Tic Pile Toe, depending on your mood. Pile Up1 is scheduled to release in 2020 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, but you can already wishlist it on Steam.     Source: HandyGames Back to original news post
