  1. Sorry I have to go caps on you but JUST GET A GODDAMN 5750 xD
  2. Nvm, I adjusted some stuff and now my temps max out at around 72 degrees on hottest core, at 4011Mhz and 1.23750v. Does this sound about right to you guys?
  3. From what I've heard buying a better HS will save you at most about 3c, so I'm not going for that. If anyone has a suggestion to lower temps by about 5-7c, please tell me about them!
  4. I stress test with Prime95/IBT and measure temps with RealTemp/CoreTemp/HWMonitor :S
  5. I recently overclocked my i7 920 (D0) to 191x21=4011Ghz at 1.25v, and I think I'm getting absurdly high temps for .05v extra juice on my Scythe Mugen 2, namely core temps of 76/75/71/72 (Specs in my sig) Should I reseat my heatsink and reapply the thermal goo or are these normal temps?
  6. So whats the absolute max temp i can reach for safety?
  7. During testing http:/yfrog.com/j724959561p After testing http://yfrog.com/j069545792p
  8. IntelBurnTest screens coming up! (maxtemps 62/59/58/57 for Very high)
  9. DAMN..! Forgot to make a screenshot after 17h of prime testing, max temps 58/54/54/53 Anyway, here's an old one from when the vCore was higher, max temps 61/57/56/54 http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/9397/he...i7overclock.png (now testing 3.6ghz 1.10625 vCore on IntelBurnTest Very High 10 runs... )
  10. SCYTEH MUGEN2 FTW!!!!1!11!one!! .. No i'm serious, SM2 really rocks xD
  11. Ehh i have pretty much exactly the same system, so ehh I guess just set BCLK to around 166 with 21x multiplier or 175 for 20x multiplier. If you don't know what any of this means, feel free to ask ^^
  12. Yes! I passed 10 IntelBurnTest runs with vCore 1.1
  13. Hey! No thread hijacking! You already have your own thread. Hey Gurst, you're bound to find something useful when you google 'phenom 2 940 overclock' or something of the like.
  14. I let RealTemp calibrate itself and it didn't make any adjustments... Should I calibrate it another way or do I just have ultra-accurate sensors?
  15. Ha...! 3.8Ghz at 1.15v for me K, I'm keeping it at 3.6-3.8Ghz I think. Just seeking the lowest vCore ATM. Testing 1.1v for 3.6Ghz. Hope I can go even lower
  16. Sentimental for your heatsink, are you boy?
  17. If you want quiet, but no serious gaming, go for passive heatsink with a half a gig o' ram. And get a fulltower case I suggest.
  18. Even today, the best stress test is Prime95.
  19. I've used RealTemp and CoreTemp, and am currently loving CoreTemp, because of the logging and the taskbar option, and also keeping track of min and max temps of course. Download it here CoreTemp download
  20. Hehehe... Downclocked to 3.6Ghz with a vCore of 1.10625. Prime95 8h stable. Max temps 57/53/52/51
