  1. They used a TRUE120 cooler.- Good cooling, specially for applying 1.45v to an 45nm for 24/7.- I had an E7200 (on the same rig I have now) which at 1.3625v didn't pass over 3.3GHz no matter how much FSB and/or MCH volatge I added. I mean sometimes OCing is a lottery.-
  2. Proper adjustment needed to ge it stable may vary depending on mb/chipset, ram and cpu itself. A freind of mine push his q8400 to 3.6GHz (450x8) on EP45-UD3P but I don't know how much voltage (vcore, vtt/fsb, nb/mch) had to be added. Usually it is trial and error thing. I suggest read this guide: http://forums.overcl...showtopic=71656 It was very helpful when I was OCing my pc.
  3. That quad is good choice because it has the best performance at that cost, 100us$. I like the MB, it has very good OC capabilities but I'd like to know if there is any heat issue due to the lack of mosfet cooling. btw, I've seen a lot of your reviews since 3 years ago, this is not the exception, very good explained an well illustrated, as usual.-

  5. Very nice cards, but I think AMD has accustomed us to lower prices than its green counterpart, but in this case are the same or maybe a little higher. Good review as usual.-
  6. If those CPUs are the same used in the review then, the happy winners can be sure to reach 3.75GHz which will be excellent for crunching WCG or FAH.-
