  1. uhh..waco. i should have done a little more studying on the ssd's. they have alot more capacity than the test i read. Kind of expensive. But thinking of ways to power the scsi's (and maybe another vid card)and eliminate heat, and now wondering if the raid card will even work? a little more money(i don't have alot invested in the drives/card) would mean alot less stress, and maybe not damage any equipment? oya..this computer is in a home network w/3 others, file sharing, gaming, i do some work at home also, database type stuff. i thought if i could keep it fast enough and reliable everybody would be happy. Going to rethink this. thanks
  2. Hello. This is my first post here, wish i would have found this site earlier. I have spent about an hour here reading various posts that might help me. i am building my second computer (first one worked out great..no problems), i wanted to go for more performance on this one. i have purchased most of the components, still waiting for 1 to arrive. most forums i've been in say choice of power supplies should work fine, but, when i add the components to the asus power requirement form, it says it will NOT be enough. i'm hoping my system specs will show up in my sig. here's the link to the asus/support/power supply requirement form. http://support.asus.com/PowerSupplyCalcula...SLanguage=en-us i have also found a thermaltake auxiliary power supply. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/7690/psu...press_650W_Auxi do any of you more experienced builders think i should add this aux. power supply? might be a little tough finding enough room tho. i'm also thinking of watercooling my seagate cheetahs (plan on setting up 5 in a raid 5 array), and vid card to reduce heat in the case, anybody here done this? forums like this are a "godsend" to many people like me. thanks for any/all input here.
