    Redesigned 360?

Mobo pics were leaked last year, as stated I also got a chance to talk with a Microsoft Corp. rep and he said that the cooling system is BRAND NEW. Also, I've never heard of Microsoft tech support telling a customer to buy a USB graphics card for the xbox. Thats just sounds a little crazy to me.

Even though it still has the ability to give you and error message, the new design of the system and hardware also make it so that the system has a much less chance of actually having the error. Lets not forget, just because it can give you the error, doesn't mean it will happen (Just like how computers have beep code error messages)
  6. The EASIEST way to do it would be to install a version of Windows onto the computer (XP or newer) and then just share the desired content. If he is just wanting to share files/content, I would just do that. BTW, Windows Media Player has the ability to share music and video w/ your Xbox.
  7. it took me over an hour to find the correct driver to use my 360 wireless receiver on Windows 7 x64. I think I still have the file. btw, I had to manually select which driver to install from the driver list. Send me a PM and I can try to send you the installer package if you want.

    Redesigned 360?

Im getting about $175 with all the stuff Im turning in. Remember, your hard drive is extra, and if you have an edge card, you get 10% extra on everything but the console itself.

    Redesigned 360?

They are actually doing a trade in deal if you trade in your old 360 towards the purchase of the new one. Check it out here On a side note, I went to GameStop today to pre-order the new Transformers game (dont laugh, the multiplayer demo on LIVE is AWESOME) The manager said he was gunna hold one for me, cuz they weren't doing pre-orders at the time, and when I went there today, he said they got 8 yesterday but he forgot to leave a note for that manger and they all got sold I went ahead and pre-ordered it (now they ARE taking official pre-orders) but they don't have another shipment until July 9. They might be in earlier, but who knows I just thought it was a funny story.....
  10. I have a regular set of 2.1 speakers plugged into the regular audio out (3.5mm) port on the motherboard. My headphones are hooked up to a MixAmp that can use an optical in. (I have Astro A40s) Motherboard is ASUS M4A79 Deluxe

    Redesigned 360?

Im still waiting for my GameStop to get theirs in. The manager is going to hold one for me and I will be trading in my old Elite for the new one
  12. After a quick Newegg search, here are the two cheapest internal N adapters..... Zonet ZEW1642 - $17.00 Rosewill RNX-N150PC - $16.99
  13. I had a feeling that because one wasn't digital, good old windows wouldn't want to let me do it.
  14. Here is my setup: I have my speakers hooked up to the standard auido port (3.5mm) on my motherboard, and I have my headphones hooked up to the Digital (Optical) port. Is there anyway to make it so that both ports are playing the same audio at once? Chipset is an RealtekĀ® ALC1200 (HD Realtek)
  15. Not really, I just think that if they worked on Kinect to the point where you could do it, it would be cool. End of story.
  16. I know what Im having for desert tomorrow night
  17. Let me rephrase what I mean by that. I would love to see a FPS game with Kinect support, after some time when they have made it capable of doing so. ie: no latency issues, etc.

    Redesigned 360?

Well, from Nintendo's announcement about their DS, they obviously are looking into 3D gaming. It wouldn't surprise me to see that their new console would have some sort of 3D gaming support. I just don't want to have to wear glasses while I'm gaming. lol
  19. I am actually looking foreword to using Kinect. What I would love to see is a FPS game come out that would allow you to utilize Kinect with it. Might sound crazy, but I think it could be fun. I also think that the $150 listed price is a little high. XBOX's VP said at the E3 conference that there were two faction at MS. One wanted to make the Kinect high priced and possibly lower it later, and the other wanted to make it lower and get it into homes. Unfortunately, I think the High priced group is winning that battle. When the Kinect drops to around $99, I will certainly look into getting it.

    Redesigned 360?

Lets all remember that the actual GPU in the 360 is actually more powerful than the PS3. The PS3 does however has a cell processor. By specs alone, it makes it have more available power than the 360. The problem is that there has not been one game that has actually used all the cell processors power. In my honest opinion, I dont think that any developer will ever make a game that will utilize all the cell processors power.
  21. Kinect is made to allow players to get off the couch and move. Remember, you dont HAVE to buy Kinect, and not all games will be able to use Kinect. You wont be able to play Halo or Gears with it, just the games that actually make sense to use it.

    Redesigned 360?

Well, if you think that you get all the stuff I listed above, its not a bad deal. And now that ESPN is linked with the 360, you will get 3,500 sporting events streamed directly to your 360 for no extra charge.
  23. What i dont like about Move is that its basically a Wii controller. I like the idea of the Wii, but I would never buy one because holding a controller to do moving gameplay isn't natural. Kinect will allow you to have moving gameplay that feels natural. No controller required.

    Redesigned 360?

Honestly, $50 a year is like $4.20/month That's like a cup of Starbucks. You get FaceBook, Twitter, Netflix, Last.FM, Zune, Demos, Exclusive discounts/demos, online gameplay, now ESPN and Video Kinect Thast not bad for $4.20/month I think of it as I pay $50 a year to play online and I get the rest free. Its actually quite reasonable.
  25. I think $150 is a little high, but I still think its something worth looking into. I also will say that I think it needs to be $99 to sell. At that point, I might consider actually buying it for a few of the games (like Dance Central, and you cant forget the Wii Fit copy, Your Shape)
