  1. Hi Everybody, This is the first time I get into overclocking and I can't seem to even get a stable 3.75Ghz OC.. My system becomes unstable after 17 secs from Starting a LinX run with a problem size of 25000. Here's my bios template with the current 3.75Ghz OC..i'm planning to go to 4.0Ghz but at least I should get a stable 3.75Ghz Mother Board ( EVGA X58 4-Way Classified E-762 ) Bios ( 74 ) CPU ( 965EE ) CPU Cooler ( True 120 ) Memory (Mushkin XP3 7 8 7 20 ) PSU ( Corsair AX1200 ) GPU ( GTX580x2 ) Drivers ( 270.61 ) Operating System ( Windows 7 64 Ultimate ) Frequency Control CPU Clock Ratio ( 28X ) CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) ( 133 ) MCH Strap ( Auto ) CPU Uncore Frequency (Mhz) ( 3200Mhz { 24X } ) CPU Clock Skew ( 0 ps ) Spread Spectrum ( Disabled ) PCIE Frequency (Mhz) ( 100 ) Memory Feature Memory Speed ( Standard ) Memory Control Setting ( Enabled ) Memory Frequency ( 1600Mhz / 2:12 ) Channel Interleave Setting ( 6 Way ) Rank Interleave Setting ( 4 Way ) Memory Low Gap ( 2.5 ) tCL Setting ( 7 ) tRCD Setting ( 8 ) tRP Setting ( 7 ) tRAS Setting ( 20 ) tRFC Setting ( 88 ) Command Rate ( 1t ) Voltage Control EVGA VDroop Control ( Without VDroop ) CPU VCore ( 1.325 ) CPU VTT Voltage ( +100) CPU PLL VCore ( 1.800 ) IOH PLL VCore ( 1.800 ) DIMM Voltage ( 1.65 ) DIMM DQ Vref ( +0mV ) QPI PLL VCore ( 1.20 ) IOH VCore ( 1.2 ) IOH/ICH I/O Voltage ( Auto ) BR04 ( NF200) Voltage ( Auto ) VTT PWM Frequency ( 610 KHZ ) CPU PWM Frequency ( 1210 KHZ ) CPU Impedance ( Less ) ICH VCore ( Auto ) CPU Feature Intel SpeedStep ( Disabled ) Turbo Mode Function ( Enabled ) CxE Function ( Disabled ) Execute Disable Bit ( Disabled ) Virtualization Technology ( Disabled ) Intel HT Technology ( Enabled ) Active Processor Cores ( All ) QPI Control Settings ( Enabled ) QPI Link Fast Mode ( Enabled ) QPI Frequency Selection ( 4.800 GT/s ) OC Recovery ( Disabled ) Turbo Performance ( Disabled ) PnP/PCI PCI Express Maximum Payload Size ( 4096 ) Power Management Setup ACPI Suspend Type ( S3 ) HPET Support ( Enabled ) HPET Mode ( 64-bit )
  2. Got a quick question here guys regarding the heatsink fan Now i've decided on the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme 1366 RT, do I need to get the 1366 Bolt through kit with it to get it installed??
  3. Right...thanks for your reply For2went and your opinion on my rig I'm damn excited about it and can't wait to get it done..heheheheh
  4. Got a quick question here...can I use a 512MB 9800 GTX as a Physx card along with my GTX 295? or the 295 doesn't need a Physx card anyways??
  5. Thaks for your suggestions...I've heard of the Noctua's alot, they seem to be good..will look into those u suggested
  6. LOL Guys, Can you suggest a good set of aftermarket 120mm fans for the Antec 1200???
  7. [email protected] has enough money..hahahahahaha Well I guess i'm done with my build...I've already got the case, mobo and those awesome mushkin rams. I'll post pics and benchmarks once my build is done Thanks alot IVIYTH0S for your help and follow up, I appreciate it bro, and thanks to all who participated in replying to my post. Cheers
  8. keep in mind that i'll be adding another gtx 295 later on in 2 or 3 months time or whenever i'm able to do so...btw, do the cards have to match? like am I able to use a 260 core 216 along with a 295 in SLI or a 280??
  9. LOL btw...the GTX 295 runs on 1920x1080 really well...i've seen it myself running some games on native resolution with no lag whatsoever!!
  10. Notice that my monitor is a 26" so i'll probably be playing on 1920x1080, depends on whether the game can handle it though (e.g. Crysis) I've already ordered the GTX 295 so there's no way back..lol I can't add anything else to the system, i'm out of budget!!
  11. Case: Antec 1200 Mobo: EVGA X58 3x SLI CPU: Intel Core i7 920 RAM:2x 3x2GB Mushkin XP3 Series DDR3 1600Mhz @ 7-8-7-20 Graphics Card: EVGA GTX295 Hard Disk Drives: Intel X25-M SSD 80GB, Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB Sound Card: Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatality Champion Series PSU: PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W CPU Cooler: Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme 1366 RT Optical Drive: LG Sata Bluray Drive Model GGC-H20L & LiteOn iHas422-08 SATA 22xDVD Burner (all black) Other Accesories: EVGA GTX 295 Backplate Thermal Paste: Arctic Silver 5 LCD Monitor: Samsung T260
  12. Ok So i'm gonna go for single Intel X-25 80GB SSD and a 500GB Western Digital Caviar Black, I don't really need the 1TB HD since I have 2 external WD drives of 500GB and 250GB. PSU Changed to PCP&C 750 Sounds good now???
  13. Ok guys.. I'm gonna withdraw one velociraptor drive and replace it with an 80GB Intel X-25M SSD Drive but i'll keep the other velociraptor and change the PSU to 750W...does this sound good??
  14. hmmmm, i've heard good opinions other than yours regarding the PC Power and Cooling 750W PSU. As for the sound card I need it for music editing, since I use professional keyboards to hook it up with the PC, that's the main reason why i need it.
