I actually agreed with your previous quote, and if you had noticed my comments from a few posts ago i indicated that a customer service manager from newegg had contacted me, agreed with my assesment of the issue and assured me that he would credit the shipping and bring the poorly located information to the attention of the web designers. I don't dislike Newegg I only had a problem with the way the information was presented on the site and the way the issue was handled, and sometimes complaining is the only way to get the attention of people in an organization who can make a difference.
  2. I find it interesting that you claim to know anything about anything since you obviously don't because the confirmation invoice does say "air" i see your research skills are rivaled only by your charm. But then since i don't really know you, that must only be an observation.
  3. what's really sad, is that you have been so conditioned by repeated sub-standard customer service that you now believe you(and everyone else) deserve nothing better. With so much competition out there in retail its no longer acceptable for retailers(online or otherwise) to claim they are not responsible as long as the information is somewhere on their site. It shouldn't be a game of hide and seek to find the relevant information. With the ease of changing websites these days as soon as the oversight was pointed out it should have been changed. **Update** received a call from customer service in response to a second email sent linking to the various forums i have posted to. Was assured that full credit will be given for the expedited shipping and feedback will be directed to appropriate parties regarding the way the shipping info is displayed. will update my posts if/when this happens and newegg will have validated many of the positive comments seen in response to my various posts.
  4. about 5 days...the problem isnt that they complied with their terms, but that their terms were not obvious, not standard(as far as the industry goes), not standard for what a US customer would receive from Newegg US. I paid for AIR shipping and there is no place in the world that takes longer than 5 days to fly from, so if its going to be 5 days it should be in the line where you select the option as it is on the US site. And if i make a mistake because its not obvious they should eat the extra $20 and make a life long customer(thats just good business)
  5. this was the item i ordered its the only enclosure adapter i could find for a mini ide drive that needs to have its data recovered.
  6. interesting how Newegg seems to think its important to put the delivery time in the shipping line for the US website but on the canadian site its contained in link in a small line in a regular font at the bottom of the page
  7. Interesting observation especially in view of the fact that i placed the order and received confirmation of the order by 11:13am friday dec 12 That's exactly the kind of observation that i would hope for from any of the numerous Newegg reps i spoke to.
  8. good question, but if you notice from the super long conversation...i ordered from newegg.ca not newegg.com and most online retailers that have a canadian presence ship from warehouses in canada, and since they don't say anything different I had no reason to expect that they wouldn;t also.
  9. I don't really care about the $10 or i wouldn't have chosen a $40 shipping method for an $11 item what bothered me is I needed the product urgently. Additionally I gave them the option of crediting me the difference of the Expedited and Standard shipping($20 more) and they refused consider it. Most reputable online computer retailers have the length of time explicitly shown in the line where you select the shipping option. Like tigerdirect or frys. Not in some obfuscated link at the bottom of the page. Additionally, it took well over an hour to complete that chat and contact a supervisor, after which I emailed the manager who has not responded to my email. Then I posted my complaint online. It's extremely misleading to call a shipping method "Air" or "Expedited" and then hide behind a clause somewhere else on the site that specifies a delivery window similar to standard. Standard is 5-10 days Air or Expedited is 4-9 days
