  1. Well , my specs are in my sig. I guess what i am wondering is, my system just blows out hot air like none other. I game @ about 45*c with my rig, idle anywhere from 21-37ish depending on the ambient temp. Do note i live in kansas where it is about 103 today. My room is always burning up hot even when i have the AC on full blast. So i turned off my pc came back in the room 15 mins later and the room was ice cold just like every other room in the house. I will say i have a massive antec p180 case with 4 fans and the CPU fan which is a huge zalman cpu cooler. Would possibly a new case, maybe aluminum, with better or less fans help this issue? Does it hurt to turn my PC off when im not using it. I know some people say keep it running all the time is better. I have no clue. Any remedies for a pc that just creates heat like none other? Is this damaging to my system? The cpu temps are not too bad from what i've researched. Thanks all
  2. That's usually what i am familiar with doing, when you you buy a new one it wont show up in my computer until you initialize it and or add a new simple volume, but it it will still show up on POST when you first boot up. Mine isn't doing either. Weird eh!
  3. Well, i have a WD Caviar Green 750 HDD, that i use in my thermaltake usb hot swap sata majigger. It works fine, slow, but works fine. Problem is, when I tried to put in in my Rig along with my 500gig Caviar black, it doesn't detect the drive. I tried it by itself, every port, different cable, nothing. Not even in BIOS does it pick it up. I think hmm okay, so i try some of my old SATA II drives 120 , 120 , and a 250. They all get recognized fine. Like a charm. So i try to format the big green, then try it. Still...nothing. Pop it back in the external USB sata, works fine. I cant seem to find any SATA or controller drivers for this drive specifid. Any ideas why it would be doing this? It detects my WD Caviar black just fine. any ideas? thanks!

  5. Ebarone, I salute you. That is what I have been looking for. I am a veteran member of DFI-Streets.com, then known as DIY-Streets thanks to a mouthy AngryGames, now merged with OCC so i expected the same results as i used to get not remembering most of the guys on there moved onto other MFG forums or lost interest since the change/merger. Thank you for your help!
  6. yeah i run prime95 and or memtest, but usually prime 95
  7. thx for the reply. These forums are so darn dry..
  8. Well, i've got it up @ 2.8 and ran prime95 overnight with no errors. Im running 14x200 right now, stable all stock voltages. I tried 3.0 (15x200) and got errors immediately on PRIME95. What could i try to get it up to 3.0 with no errors? Do i need to up the voltage, or up the FSB instead of the cpu clock? My specs are: 8750 BE @ 2.8 14x200 Corsair XMS2 1066 2x2gb 8800GS XXX Gigabyte MA770 UD3 Antec TPII 550w PSU in P180 case Dvd rom and RW x fi xtreme audio 500 GB WD Caviar Black Zalman 9500 Cpu cooler thx in advance! p.s. is there any way to monitor my temps without going into BIOS?
  9. any updates on this? i am having the EXACT same issue, with my yellow slots
