  1. Thanks cap'n, I'll give it a try when I get some cash. And thanks again for listing those settings, it gives me a place to start from.
  2. I was wanting to replace my two 512MB modules with two 1GB modules. I read in the manual that it'll revert to DDR333 speeds, but I can move it back to DDR400. Now is this guaranteed, or is there a chance it'll screw up and HAVE to be run at DDR333 to be stable? Wouldn't want to waste any time or cash if it's going to be stuck at 166MHz. So, has anybody had any experience with putting 2GB into this board?
  3. I'm a little hesitant to since I've been RMA'ing crap for the past two months, and I bought this board so I wouldn't have to send back any more VNF3-250s. With the money I've spent sending crap back, I could have two of these. From other people I've talked to, this isn't exactly an uncommon problem with this motherboard.
  4. Second opinions? It's pretty annoying to go through the trouble of posting this twice and playing that dude's sig game, just to hear 'it's broke."
  5. That about sums it up. If I do so much as disable the fullscreen boot logo, save, and reboot....screen stays black, no beeps, blah. I have to clear the bios and never touch it to get anything on the screen / PC boot. Apparently, only the clock is allowed to be changed. Help?
  6. I already posted my specs above. They are the same now as they were then.
  7. Yeeahhh....your clown-colored post just gave me a seizure, ease up on the confetti text.
  8. The thing boots just fine if I don't screw with it. It's a 430W antec PSU. Of course the 4pin and video card power plugs are in.
  9. Argh, I was hoping it wouldn't be a hardware combination issue. As for my current BIOS revision, I don't know. Here's the specs currently: A64 3200+ newcastle 2x512MB corsair twinx LL PNY 6800GT 200GB seagate hdd samsung dvd-rom pioneer 106/a06 dvd-rw Now would you recommend I get the bios from here? http://www.dfi.com.tw/Support/Download/bio..._FLAG=B&SITE=US Or one of these here? 10/15 Beta by Oskar Wu - http://www.angrygames.com/files/N32LDA15.zip 10/15 Beta by Oskar Wu, modified by JSJ - http://webpages.charter.net/jess1313/DFI%2...A15/JSJ-A15.ZIP [modified to allow 4.0V vDIMM]

  11. That's my concern; I have no idea what chips are on there...but at CAS 2.0, can they be all that bad? I mean, normally I'd expect to see a dual channel pair 2x512MB for $240-$300, so these caught my attention. Should I even bother, or could this be a good deal?
  12. I've got an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe rev. 2 and an Athlon XP 2500+ that I plan on boosting to 2.2ghz. I'm looking for the best deal I can find on matched pc3200 or better and I found these...are these worth my time? Any ideas?
