  1. Hi, i have has this problem for a while now. when i turn on my computer it posts and everything and on the next screen i get all the device info then just a blinking cursor, after about 3 seconds the computer reboots. It might take 5 trys to get it to boot windows some days. Does anyone know anthing about this problem?
  2. yeah its a blend test and i have done custom block sizes aswell. everything is fine during heavy gaming sessions also. will try get a new psu when funds allow this.
  3. hmm thanks. it seems to be working but it may be one of them times when it just works. il try in the morning and keep you updated.
  4. I have tried the cmos clear procedure. i get a few memtest errors but i seem to be 100% stable in windows 100hr+ prime 95 so i cant be botherd to get any new ram to be honest. Its not a big problem its just annoying. It is probably the psu then becuase this happens even worse if i have a scsi raid controller in a pci slot.
  5. hi again guys, glad to see this place up and running again. specs for this macine are in the sig. I have had this pc setup for a while now. 1 out of 3 times when i try to cold boot i get stuck on that page after post where there is that table and it shows the device addresses and stuff. I get a blinking line at the bottom where it should say Verifying DMI data. After about 10 seconds it just reboots. any ideas? thanks

  7. no, it had been running 24/7 for over a year and had had a lot of heavy use. Started to develop a lot of bad sectors then just died all of a sudden. thanks
  8. Hi, I have finally got myself a 7900gs. The recommended 12v amperage is 22a i think. The 12v rails on my psu put out 29 amps. I have ran a game with no problems but only for about 20 min as one of my raptors died . Will this psu capable to power the card under full load? I know the recommended is 480w and everything but that hasn't been necessary for me. thanks again.
  9. thanks guys for all the resposes, is this an ok card for light/medium gaming http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo...roductID=499273
  10. i didnt say anyting about 7600gs's. i meant getting two 7900gs's for £220 and running them in sli, not a single card. the 7900gs's i am looking at are here http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo...roductID=499273 does that look like an ok setup? thanks
  11. hmmm i think i have decided on 2x 7900gs's in sli for £220, is that an ok price? thanks.
  12. hi, i am looking at a XFX GeForce 6800 XTreme 128MB as i can get it cheap. the main games i play are flight sim 2004, gta san andreas and combat sim. would i be able to play these games on high settings and 1024x768 with that card and get a decent framerate (above 30 is fine for me), also does this card support sli?. I have changed my mind on the x1950pro. thanks.
  13. A new psu to run a x1950pro 250mb? thanks
  14. tried with one stick of ram and cmos clear, all fine now.
