And people like OCZ too. I wouldn't go with Corsair. I've seen alot of people have trouble with DFI and Corsair. 2x512 should be enough, I wish I hadn't gotten 2gigs and instead got some DDR500 when I bought my rig.

    New Halo 3 Trailer

I also already signed up for the Beta and will probably pre-order halo 3 before I get a 360. As long as i have it for the new Halo 2 maps and the Beta i'll be happy.
  3. Thanks for posting this thread. I forgot to print my rebate too, just got it from Newegg. Thanks. Almost lost 15 bucks, shibby.
  4. I'm about to do the same with 160s, this guide by Happy Games helped. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16557
  5. Thanks. That is what I thought. Just making sure.
  6. I'm going to be setting up RAID 0 as soon as my drives are delivered. I read Angry Games guide (http://www.angrygames.com/DAGF-1.htm), and I was confused as to what step 8 is telling me to do when it says Bootable? Does that mean I have to hit B to make it bootable? It was a very helpful guide and helped alot but I just want to make sure I understand correctly, thanks.
  7. I have a UT, which I believe is the better one and it came with round IDE cables and floppy cable, sata power and data cables, sli bridge, and some jumpers. I don't know what the non-UT one comes with but I always thought the UT was the better and was confused by the price differnce. Oh and I heard that UT is for "UV on Tweak Fun" but again i'm not sure.
  8. what do you mean by I should save files if I can? I think I might try reinstalling my display drivers. One of my friends thinks the problem is display realated.
  9. That worked in that it flashed the BIOS but I still don't have taskbar or icons on my desktop. I'm begging to think this isn't related to BIOS. Any other ideas?
  10. Thanks for spelling it out like that, RGone. Thats what I needed I'm trying it now. Thanks alot, again.
  11. Thanks ExRoadie. Couldn't find it on the forums but I googled it and made a boot disk. And when I booted from the disk it went right to the Flashing screen and it says Please Wait. Its been there for about 2 hours now and I don't want to turn the power off because all I've ever heard is not to turn it off durring flashing BIOS, even though i'm not sure what its doing. Anyone know if its safe to shut it down, or do you have other suggestions?
  12. I'd get something thats DDR500, to make it easier for overclocking. I don't really know what brand but there is a list of recommended RAM somewhere on the street. Here it is: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...680&postcount=1
  13. Thanks RGone. How do I use that zip file, I just copy the files onto a floppy? Does it have to be formatted or anything special? I don't know too much about that kinda thing. I tried this twice now and first got "Improper Disk" and then "NTLDR Missing". I was using WinRAR to extract the contents of the .zip file to a floppy.
  14. I wrote down the steps for the CMOS clear from a post by ExRoadie. And I don't really care about the logo, the bigger problem is my desktop, not being there.
  15. Two days ago I made a CD with Tmods BIOS Flash Utility on it and tried to change to the 406bta BIOS in an attempt to gain more overclockability. It worked but I only got about 50MHz so I tried teh 704bta, which seemed to make the temps really high, so I deciced to go back to stock. So I put in Tmods CD and flash 11/14/05. Heres where it gets weird. And stupid. First thing I notice is that the "LAN Party NF4" Logo that appears at startup isn't there. I first noticed it was gone when I flashed to 704bta, but assumed it was part of the new BIOS and expected it to return with the switch back, but alas. So, I decide to do a CMOS clear to maybe return that to normal, but now after the minute or so CMOS clear the logo is still absent and now the computer states that it is in safe mode and my CPU fan can't decide if it wants to run or not. Because the fan kept switching on and off I shut it down restarted, and now the fan runs, it still says safe mode, I hit F1 to continue and get into windows, which seems to start slow. Then I see my background with no icons or taskbar and no programs start as they normally would. So I did another CMOS clear overnight, and today I got the same stuff. I can still run programs from Task Manager, and they all seem to work. So I was wondering if anyone knows what happened and how to fix it, even though I'd be surprised if anyone bothered to read all that crap, sorry for writing so much. I'd really appreciate the help, thanks.
  16. Actually i think i was. So i guess there isn't a problem, other than me being slow. Thanks
  17. Thanks. MBM5 says chipset voltage is 1.17v. So now, why is it so low? How can i fix that?
  18. Smartguardian says that my chipset voltage is 1.16v. It is set to 1.6v in BIOS. So I was wondering if this is a problem and what causes it (i'm sure my PSU will come into question on that), or is it just Smartguardian misreading the voltage and if thats possible is there another program I could use to check? Thanks.
  19. Yeah, I'd have the HTT as close to 1000 as possible, higher better than lower though I would think. I noticed in your Prime screen shot that your running the benchmark. You should use the torture test on custom and run 2 instances of Prime 95. Happy Games explains how here:http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...518&postcount=1
  20. thanks delemon, i never saw that before, cool
  21. I didn't know you could set affinity for SuperPi. How do you do it?
  22. I'm a senior in highschool and spend half the day in school and the other half working for a plumber. I'm looking into getting A+ cerftification and network+ or CISCO, not sure what i'm going to do with that though.

  24. I don't really think its a big problem, like people are trying to cheat at the OCDB, but I guess you could. I don't know why we cant use Orthos on our 939s, but whatever. Back to kBruno's problem, I would run two instances of Prime95 as outlined in that link Pras posted there. As for it not being stable after 12 hours, its really up to you, because its unlikely that you would get errors durring normal use, because Prime runs your CPU harder that just about anyother program you would. It just depends on how anal you are about stability.
