  1. For Sound icon in taskbar start>control panel> sound> check box to display in taskbar.
  2. Try installing marvell ethernet drivers.
  3. Maxtor HDD's have a history of having progblems with dfi boards, if you have problems you have to call Maxtor and get a firmware update.
  4. You were told in post #2, if you missed it here it is again. Have you tried clearing cmos. Here is the way to read the Diagnostic LEDs. 4 LEDs on = Power applied, checking CPU 3 LEDs on = CPU has been detected OK, checking RAM 2 LEDs on = RAM has been detected OK, checking VGA 1 LED on = VGA has been detected OK, entering BIOS 0 LEDs on = System has booted to the Operating System. As long as you are in the BIOS including running memtest from the BIOS option, there will be one LED on. Example: If you are getting 3 LEDs on, it means the rig is having trouble detecting the RAM. The lower(PCI) Amber LED is the 5VSB indicator. The upper Amber LED is the RAM voltage indicator. Once the rig has started and been shut down the RAM LED will go out until the PSU is power cycled. __________________ It means that your video card is not being detected.

  9. If you aren't using the usb keyboard in a usb slot do not enable usb keyboard in bios
  10. It is probably default values giving you problems. What kind of muskin ram do you have and what size? Have you run Memtest on your ram yet?

  12. The only way to get the revision, is off the motherboard. Maybe a retail store would allow you to open the box to check the revision. I really would not worry about the revision, as all of them are good.

  14. Definately the nf4 ultra-d. lot better than the infinity. Infinity has cpu temp problems, temps are all over the place. Alot of ppl still waiting for a bios fix.
  15. Using 4 memory sticks on nf4 boards can cause problems. Very few ppl have successfully used 4 sticks. Try 2 sticks in the orange slots and various combinations of 2 sticks in the roange slots. Change memory voltage to 2.8 and up the cpu voltage to 1.4. Djrop mem divider to 133. you should be able to clock that 165 to 2.8 on stock voltages. The 4 sticks are probably holding you're oc back.

  17. What is ambient temp and chipset temp? If you are using stock hs and fan you can install evercool re hs. It typically lowers temps 5 to 10 degrees C. Lowered mine 10 degrees C.
