  1. OK thanks. I was just asking this because I saw so many overclocks with FSB at 300Mhz+ without increasing the Vchipset that I was wondering how possible this could be :-)
  2. Hello, Couldn't find this in the forum so..... What is the maximum operating frequency for the nForce4 chipset ? I understand that 200Mhz (FSB) is the normal operating frequency but I would like to know what is the max frequency that the nForce4 can operate at ? Sorry if this is a stupid question...... Thanks.
  3. Thanks Caffeinejunkie, So the second port will work in 8x instead of 16x ? Will that lower the performance of my graphic card (7900GT) ?
  4. Hello, I wanted to know if I can use any of the 2 PCI-ex x16 slots to plug my graphic card ? The reason is that I wanted to install a waterblock on the nf4 but then the graphic card in front of it becomes unusable. So can I use the other PCI-ex x16 slot for the graphic card ? Thanks, Daniel.
  5. it's done automatically by boting on the floppy disk containing the BIOS file downloaded on DFI's web site. I think it's like this : A:AWDFLASH NF4LDB14.BIN /cks/sn/py/cc/cd/cp/wb/ld/qi
  6. Will try to remove the battery as well. When I remove the battery, how should the jumper be set ?
  7. eliatamby : thanks for your answers. Yes, I will try with the Bios CD. I have also cleared the CMOS and it didn't change a thing. I just wanted to understand why something as simple as updating the BIOS as explained on the DFI web site cannot be done on this board ? To be honest, it doesn't help buiding confidence.....
  8. Hello, When I want to update the BIOS with a floppy I get : "flash rom is write protected" When I try in Windows, I get a "flash rom blocked" or something like that. There's nothing in the BIOS to unlock and there's nothing on the board neither. How can it be that nothing is explained as to how correctly flash this BIOS ? I couldn't find any complete answer in the forum or in the manual. This is my first DFI board. Please help.......
  9. Anybody has come through this problem and knows how to fix it ?
  10. I have used NF4LDB14.EXE so it has created a bootable floppy automatically. This method doesn't work.
  11. Thanks RGone, but my point is that it doesn't work. When I follow these guides, I get the errors mentioned on my first message. It won't let me update the bios either with a floppy or through awdflash utility in windows.....
