  1. I don't know of one that does custom cases, but you can always buy a case then get it modded. Here is a nice case mod site. http://www.mnpctech.com/index.html
  2. Yea, G. Skill is supposed to be great RAM. I personally am getting Mushkin. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820146397
  3. Just wondering what people have been able to get it up to, and how easy it has been to get it there. Also, how hot does the card normally run overclocked? Should I invest in some cooling for it?
  4. For around $150 more or so, I can get the x1900xt and overclock it to near 700mhz.
  5. I am currently in the process of finalizing a new build, and I was wondering which one of the new graphics cards that have come out I should go with? I am looking for which has the most performance between these two cards. I have looked at several benchmarks websites, and I believe that the x1900xt beats the 7900gt, but I would like to hear what you guys think I should get. I doubt I will ever go Crossfire or SLI. Also, once you have voiced your opinion about which graphics card I should get, please tell me which company I should get the card from. I have heard that XFX is a good company for the 7900gt, and alot of people seem to have the Sapphire x1900xt. Last, how easily do each of these cards overclock? I plan on overclocking the card up the higher card in its series atleast, meaning either the x1900xtx speeds, or the 7900gtx speeds, whichever I get. ::My specs are in my sig, if you need them::
  6. Also, can anyone recommend a good fan controller?
  7. Ok, my question is, will I be able to keep the temperatures low enough, or do I need extra cooling? I plan on overclocking. My build is below: PC Case - Thermaltake Tsunami Black Hard Drive - Raptor (74gb x 2) RAID 0 Processor - Opteron 170 Processor Cooling Fan - Zalman 120mm - Motherboard - DFI Lanparty Ultra-d - Power Supply - OCZ 520W - RAM - Mushkin extreme (2 x 1GB) - RAM Cooling - Thermaltake AMCOOLING KIT Videocard - XTX 7900GT PC Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811133132 Hard Drive - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16822144160 x 2 Processor - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103586 Processor Cooling Fan - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835118115 Motherboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813136152 Power Supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817711002 Video Card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814150139 RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820146397 RAM Cooling - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835116004 EDIT: I am in Florida, so the room temps aren't that cold. They aren't super hot, but they aren't too cold either. I can't give an exact at the moment, but hopefully I will be able to get a temp for you guys by the end of today.
  8. Opteron 170 or an Athlon 4200+. I am planning on overclocking, so I have heard that the 170 is the better overclocker. I also plan on doing some heavy gaming. So which should I get?
  9. Anyone else have any thoughts/opinions/articles on why or why not RAID 0 is worth it?
  10. Ok, I have heard alot of mixed reviews about the benefits/dangers of RAID 0 in all aspects: gaming, general use, ect (I am going to RAID 0 two Raptors btw). Alot of people say that raiding two drives increases the speed alot, and that it is worth the cost of two drives. Other people say don't get two drives, just get one drive. I have even seen mixed articles online. Some say its worth it, some say its not. So, is RAID 0 worth the extra cost of two drives, or is getting just one drive better? Also, I am looking to cut off some money. Would raiding two 36gb drive be faster than one 74gb?
  11. Thx for the help. Any other opinions would be nice, especially from people who actually use the cases they talk about. The Thermaltake Armor was the first case I ever considered buying, and the modded sidepanel with the 25cm fan looks nice. I will consider it, but I might stay with the Tsunami.
  12. Thx. Keep it coming though, still need reviews.
  13. Well, I like when the cases look nice, but quietness is an issue too. Just, something that looks good, but still isn't really loud. Thx.
  14. Well, I am currently going to get the Thermaltake Tsunami, but I was wondering if that case had good airflow, and if it doesn't, which case does have good airflow. I am OCing, so take that into consideration. I don't mind paying around $100 for a case, but try not to get any higher if possible.
  15. I will talk it over with the main people that are helping me with this, and see what they think. By the way, and good 200-250gb HDDs you would like to recommend?
