http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Techni...1_13118,00.html Check the driver 2nd from the bottom "Allows the system to automatically adjust the CPU speed, voltage and power combination that match the instantaneous user performance need. Download this Setup Installation program (EXE) to automatically update all the files necessary for installation. This package is recommended for users whom desire a graphical user interface for installation. This .EXE driver is a user friendly localized software installation of the driver designed for end-users. This driver supports AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processors on Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2003 SP1." -

Are you overclock or stock? have u tried the x2 driver/hotfix? Does your bios version support dual cores? Why is there a butterfly in your case? (Vanessa lol) :shake: :shake: :shake: -
Because it will CREATE air flow in your case. Let me also add that the air it blows around is Cool-moderate temp air, NOT hot air. I know from personal experience!

Computer shutting down after 5-6 seconds
supraboytt replied to Marthax's topic in Overclocking and Cooling
Overheat protection was designed to be used when a cpu fan failed, but with the heatsink in place. 5-6 Seconds is a LONG time for a cpu without cooling to be running. -
Gettin a head start eh? Good thing is Those prices should have dropped by the time august rolls around. Parts look good... for now.... but probably not for august.
