  1. Okay cool. Thanks for straightening that out for me. Is it worth exploring the lower multies in trying to obtain a higher CPU max speed?
  2. So the max of my CPU is 2750 regardless? By bringing the 180 (9/10) divider in to the equation, it isn't going to allow me to raise my HTT any further correct? *EDIT - Sorry guys, I really appreciate the assistance.
  3. I tried 11x260 and I wasn't able to get the system stable. Wouldn't pass Super Pi or OCCT. I tried taking the vcore right up 1.65v in increments. At 11x255 I could pass Super Pi and OCCT but not Prime at 1.65v.
  4. Would it be better to run at LDT ratio x4, 11x250 not using a divider or run at LDT ratio x3, 10x275 using 180 (9/10) divider? In the end they both equal 250MHz DRAM Freq and 2750MHz CPU Freq. Keeping the LDT ratio at x3, running a 180 (9/10) divider would I have a better chance at getting closer to 10x285 and DRAM Freq 260MHz?
  5. So far the max of my CPU I have came across is 2750MHz. 10hrs Prime stable. I've seen some great numbers from the 3700+ but I guess my CPU just isn't as good as the others. The max of my RAM is 260, DDR520. 10hrs Memtest stable, 10hrs Prime stable. I thought I might be able to get a little more out of my RAM but anything past 260 just wasn't stable unless there is something that isn't set correctly. I was wondering if anyone could please review my settings and offer any suggestions as to how I could possible run my RAM at 260 or even adjust any settings to gain performance. I guess there really isn't any way to take advantage of the 260, DDR520 with my CPU running at 2750MHz. Is there?   6. Thanks for your feedback. I was definitely going to use the "Fan 2" connector on the mobo. I previously noticed the option for the PWMIC fan in the bios. I'll give it a test as soon as I get a chance.
  7. Should I mount it so the air blows on to the chip or away from it?
  8. I was thinking about removing the fan from the stock HS provided with my AMD64 3700+ and finding a way to mount it in my Antec P180 to cool the PWM IC. Would this be a worth while experiment?
  9. 250 @ 1.525v only lasted about an hour in Prime. I've upped the vcore to 1.550v and currently running Prime again. Am I on the right track or completely off? *EDIT 11x250 @ 1.550v - 10hrs, 55mins Prime stable. 0 errors, 0 warnings.

Multi=11x HTT=230 / 2530 / VCORE=1.350 - SUPER PI STABLE HTT=245 / 2695 / VCORE=1.425 - SUPER PI STABLE HTT=260 / 2860 / VCORE=1.650 - NOT SUPER PI STABLE HTT=256 / 2816 / VCORE=1.612 (1.550X104) - SUPER PI STABLE / NOT OCCT STABLE HTT=256 / 2816 / VCORE=1.622 (1.475X110) - SUPER PI STABLE / NOT OCCT STABLE HTT=256 / 2816 / VCORE=1.650 (1.500X110) - SUPER PI STABLE / OCCT STABLE / NOT PRIME STABLE HTT=255 / 2805 / VCORE=1.612 (1.550X104) - SUPER PI STABLE / NOT OCCT STABLE HTT=255 / 2805 / VCORE=1.622 (1.475X110) - SUPER PI STABLE / OCCT STABLE / NOT PRIME STABLE HTT=255 / 2805 / VCORE=1.650 (1.500X110) - SUPER PI STABLE / OCCT STABLE / NOT PRIME STABLE I am slowly working my way down and my temperatures are looking pretty good.   11. Hey, As I have been coming very close to finding the max speed of my cpu I have noticed that MBM5 does not exactly get the same vcore reading my bios does. Any idea's why? I.e. Bios set to 1.500 x 110% = 1.650v and MBM5 reads 1.620v Next question... During Windows XP start up process as all of the services are being loaded in to the system tray I have also noticed that it takes Windows XP Security Center and both Local Area Connections an additional minute or 2 to load after everything else. Why is this? One more sorry... I'm ready to run Prime95 torture test. Wondering if I should be selecting the Blend (default) test even though the RAM is turned down all the way for the purpose to find the max of my cpu. Thanks for your assistance.

  14. Thank you for the warm welcome. I've actually already started reading The Definitive DFI AMD Overclocking Guide over the weekend. Over the next few days i'll be trying to achieve the max speed of my cpu and ram as indicated in the article. I am using an OCZ PowerStream 520W. I'll be sure to add that to my sig. I am currently using NvMonitor that came bundled with my Ultra-D and Speedfan to get temperature readings in Windows. I'll be installing Motherboard Monitor 5 later this evening when I get home. I'll be sure to set the NB Fan Fully On @ 40c. Thanks for the suggestion. So the system temp reading im getting from NvMonitor is the NB correct? Thanks again.
  15. Great. Thanks. Definitely reassuring. Do you know where the System Temperature of NvMonitor is pulling the reading from? Is it the ambient temp, the motherboard temp or the northbridge temp?
