  1. Thanks for the input guys. Just ordered a Opteron 170 from Newegg. Looking forward to playing with it Pretty sure it will be a huge leap from my 3200 Venice.
  2. Going to upgrade the CPU in this PC so it's not such a bottleneck for the new 8800GTS I got. Would an Athlon 64 x2 4400 be better or an Opteron 175. No matter which I get I will probably overclock it a bit. From what I hear Opterons OC like crazy but I have never owned one. So someone that has used both gimme your opinion on which would be best. Both are Dual Core Specs Athlon 64 x2 4400 Toledo Operating Frequency 2.2GHz HT 2000MHz L1 Cache 128KB+128KB L2 Cache 2 x 1MB Opteron 175 Denmark Operating Frequency 2.2GHz HT 1000MHz L1 Cache 128KB+128KB L2 Cache 2 x 1MB Currently I have an Athlon 64 3200 venice So either should be a huge leap.
  3. I got it fixed now. Slipstreamed Windows with the drivers off of dfi.com and it worked =) I've set up a few raids myself and thats the first problem like that I have run into. Was a strange one for sure.
  4. As we were talking I was burning an XP64 CD I slipstreamed with drivers off of the DFI website. Oddly enough by using those drivers, instead of the ones on the floppy the drive shows up right in setup. So if anyone else with the same Motherboard is me has a similiar problem, give that a shot. Raid Drivers
  5. I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the fast response Angry. =)
  6. HDD Boot priority shows the drive as "SCSI-0 : Nvidia Stripe 372.62G"
  7. They also both show up exactly the same in XP setup. 190780 MB Disk 0 at ID 0 on bus 0 atapi [MBR]
  8. Yes Sir, followed your guide to the T. I've set up raids before and never had trouble. So not sure where this one is going wrong.
  9. I'm trying to set up 2 Seagate Barracuda 200 gig Drives as a Raid 0 in my system. I go through the guide that AG has on his site and have done so 4 times now with same result. It shows one big healthy 372 gig Harddrive once I set up the array in Nvidias tool by hitting F10. Even shows up as one drive in the Bios "SCSI-0 : Nvidia Stripe 372.62G" Once I get into Windows 64 setup to where you pick a drive to install on however they show up as 2 seperate drives. Anyone have an idea what I may be doing Wrong?
  10. They are enabled in bios, and they show up as active/healthy in Disk management. The Drive shows up in "My Computer" also, it just shows no size and is not accesable.
  11. I built my new PC today and installed everything. Got windows up and running and can't access my Old Raid 0 Array. The Raid 0 came from an old PC that crapped out on me. I wouldn't mind just formating them if I didn't have 250 gigs of data on them. Is there anything I can do to make my new Windows see it. It recognizes it in Disk Management. However in my computer it has no size listed or anything for the drives. Import Foreign Drive is greyed out and I'm not sure what else to try.

    Mysql

Your new server runs mysql 4.0.x which does not support CHARSET. delete 'DEFAULT CHARACTER SET latin1 COLLATE..' from your database CREATE statements. After you have done that, try again and I think it will fix your problems. Let me know if that fixes it or if you run into new problems. Good Luck
  13. Ahh soon as I get them set up tomorrow and play with them a little I'll let you know how they work out. By the looks of it though for how cheap they have gotten I don't think you could go wrong. I'll shoot you a PM tomorrow night sometime with some stock 3DMark 06 benchmarks if you want.
  14. Yeah I was sure I could play with timings and make them at least work together. I was actually thinking that using all 4 would probably give me worse performance even with having twice as much ram. Was just hoping someone had tried something similiar before and could share their results. Thanks for the quick reply though MSMolt
  15. What do you mean how are they in SLI? Not sure I understand your question. They aren't in anything but a box atm though on a UPS truck hehe. Tracking shows they will be here tomorrow.
