  2. Thermaltake's website states that either config will only result in a 1° C difference in CPU temp. What config best suits the additional cooling effects for your MOSFETs / RAM? Blow - more airflow over these guys but heated air. Suck - pull the hot air from the CPU and surrounding area. Any strong opinions either way?

  4. Check out Ebay. I just purchased Acronis True Image 8 for $10.25 Oh btw they do have ATI 9.0 copies for sale as well.
  5. I found a solutiion that looks very interesting. If you run RAID 0 and don't have the money or space in your case for RAID 0+1. Check this out- http://www.acronis.com/promo/ATI/true-imag...CFTeqJAod21lcKw Arconis True Image 9.0. It blows Ghost out of the water and it runs in windows. It's very user friendly. It can clone your entire image or just selected files. Restoring is a snap! It can also do a differential comparison so that it backs up only the files that have changed. It even has a scheduler to automate this process. Get that 10% of your HDD back and turn off system restore! Sure RAID 0+1 would be cool but who has the money for 2 more drives sucking juice from your PS while increasing your cases ambient tempertaure. For $50 that seems like a hell of solution to me.
  6. Sounds good. Thx for the replies.
  7. My question pertains to a new system build and where in this process should I start trying to OC? I've read a lot of the threads here but really haven't seen this answered. (sorry if it has been addressed already) I'm going under the following assumptions - -Assemble the PC & load XP, drivers, BIOS update (if necessary) and all necessary diagnostic apps -I won't even worry about setting up RAID 0 until I have some sort of stability. Do I need to go as far as loading SP2 before trying to OC? I would imagine that I wouldn't even mess with loading games and apps until I have some stability. What's a good starting point? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  8. I've made my final decisions on what to get and ordered my new rig. All I have to do is wait............. Thanks for the input! I went to an xp-120 after reading what a bear the BT can be to install.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look into those other options.
  10. I'm ordering a new rig next week as well. (not trying to steal your thunder chynn) Any gotchas here, comments or suggestions? Thanks
