  1. Hello, I would like to use 4 dims of 1GB (OCZ PC4000) on an Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D DFI with an Opteron 165. Does someone have tried to do this ? I know that the memory must be used at 2T instead of 1T but I don't know how mutch it impacts the performance. I've eared that the overclocking potential is smaller than with 2 dims. So, I would like to know if I can just reach 210, 250 or 290 MHz. Where can I find benchs of this or does someone have any advice ? thanks
  2. can you tell me where I could read the AG's benchmarks you mentioned ? I've tried to find them but I can't. thanks
  3. thanks, no, I didn' planned to use Quadro for gaming, just for CAD and FEA (finite elements analysis) ; it's more fun ;-) Can you developp a little bit about 4 dimms with opteron ? ISSA2000 said that using 4 dimms instead of 2 made him loosing a lot of bandwith (correct ?) but with an Athlon 64 x2. I've also found this article : http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/memory/display/2gb-ram.html They also show that using 4 dimm made bandwith slowdowns due to the use of 2T instead of 1T. As Opteron have 2 hypertransport bus instead of 1, I'm wondering if you can get good memory bandwith on Opteron with 4 dimms. thanks,
  4. Does someone tried 4 dimms on opteron (939) cpu. As it uses 2 hypertransport bus, perhaps the bandwith is better than a64 ?
  5. Hi, I would like to buy a lanparty sli-dr (or UT sli-dr) and to install 4 dimm of 1GB. I've read in dfi pdf manuals that with 4 dimm, the speed decrease from 400 to 333. I thought that this was corrected with revision E of athlon 64 core (I've planned to buy a socket 939 opteron 165). What is the real limitation for 4 dimm 1GB modules ? thanks,
