i have browsed these forums for over 2 years now and for a good reason.the site is well laid out the rules are basic , admins-mods do a great job keeping the forums neat and clean, and the results here are real. its like a lil garage i rent space from when my truck needs fixin. the guy in the next bay will help you out and everyone claps when a nice ride pulls out of the paintbooth.we all wanna see the next guy do good....... i am straight up guilty as charged..1st degree murder of 4 x38 boards, if the feds get me i may never be seen again ...

no problem. i figured i would share my success aswell as my failures.i have always been known to be hard on the equipment so i guess the bulletproof products are meant for me. i will continue to go beyond what may be acceptable cause i really dont know unless i try however i will refrain from discussing such things here.

well watta you know i just killed board number 3. so i ran a couple passes of memtest at ddr2 1068 4-4-4-12 2.2v no failures so i thought what the heck ill try goin higher with these aggresive timings. so i cranked the fsb from 430 -450 this brought the ram from 1068 - 1080 so i hit f10 . upon restart got the recovering bios from hard drive screen the little lines flashed across the screen 1 and a quarter times the system shut down and wont post again. i know this scenario all to well with this gigacrap board. prolly a week and ill be on board #4 im praying the retailer will straight up refund me without a restocking fee prolly wont happen.

from what ive learned about these cpus most people are happy with 50-65 ish some people will run thiers at 65-79 ish but alot of people frown when they see temps this high and its prolly degrading the longevity of your cpu. so if your low to mid 60s you should be good to go
  12. well i am very happy with my $89.00 2160 and thought i got a steal when i hit 3.2. although my goal was to hit 3.4-3.6 with this bargin basement chip im still happy with the results i was able to obtain. i havent tried crysis yet but this cpu plays COD4 and GEARs of War with no issues. just played test drive unlimited last night with all the settings cranked at 1680x1050 smooth as a whistle. i am trading this cpu to a friend for his old e6600 plus im givin him 50 bucks. i think the only downfall of this chip is benchmarking it , it handles itself like a champ with all the real life apps ive been able to throw at it so far. i highley recommend these cpus for light to moderate users or peeps waiting for a bargin on a .45nm cpu.
