    Cannot Enable SLI

Well....first thing is...what driver version are you using? and are your cards from different manufacturers? if yes, then you have to use newer drivers otherwise it won't work...the bridge is not mandatory for SLI detection....it's a highspeed bandwidth device...basically it makes sure there's no communication bottleneck...

    Blue screens

memory is most likely the culprit.... Run a full memory test at bootup to see if it detects any errors
  3. Are you using the Realtek or Nvidia drivers for the sound system?
  4. Then why people here still argue about single or multi rail PSUs ? in any case...I tought a lot of people still don't know about that....
  5. Hello everyone...I read an interesting arcticle showing that a lot of manufatures who claim their PSUs are multi 12V rail ....and a lot of people here sometimes arguing that having a multirail PSU is better for this and a single rail is better for that ....anyway... This review is about the new corsair PSU...but the website did other reviews on other PSU's claiming to be multi 12V rail....well...tell me what you all think... http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/371/5

    Help With Overclocking

And what exactly do you want help with? hell, your results are better than a lot of people here...lol

    2006/04/06 bios

I hope you didn't use the CMOS Reloaded settings after having flashed the new BIOS....that would cause the "problems" you're having....
  8. I have the GTO all 4 SATA ports are clear...

    4GB Ram Problems

Make sure to enable "Memory Hole" option in the BIOS...under advanced chipset settings... that forces the detection of the whole 4gigs

    Quick Ram Question

To my undestanding you cannot use memory of different density on the same channel...

CAnt Boot into windows after 230Mhz

I don't think you need to increase the voltages on the CPU that early and you definetly don't need to increase the chipset voltage since these boards reach high HTTs without any chipset voltage increase. The memory though is another story...I head from some fellow members that 2 gig memory kits don't like high voltages like the 1gig used to...my OCZ for example if I put anything higher thatn 2.7 volts the system doesn't boot, period.... So you might wanna take a quick look at the overclocking guide and only increase voltages when needed...for obvious reasons...

    Expert in NF2 LP-B, NOOP in NF4

Just one little comment....if you have an opteron 165 your CPU multiplier can't be 10 it has to be 9 since the opterons are locked upwards....
  13. Damn it!! I have this card on the way to my place now....I hope I don't have the same problem as you man.... Sorry but I don't have any ideas as to what the problem is, unless maybe installing a different codec package maybe??
  14. Try doing a long CMOS clear removing the battery from the motherboard... if you want the whole description of the procedure, there's a thread here somewhere... do a search and you shall find it.... I'm too lazy right now... lol sorry...
  15. Have you tried the drivers that came with your Mobo's CD-ROM ? Those are usually old...and for me are the ones that work best, specially as far as IDE performance is concerned...

    FX55 upgrade nfo requested

Forgive me if I seem too objective with my comments but.... Why are you upgrading a SINGLE core 3800+ which runs at 2.4ghz to a FX-55 that runs at 2.6ghz ???? I think you'd be better of getting a dual core CPU.....
  17. You have an overclocked Opteron CPU plus 9 hard drives on a PSU that has only 24A on the 12V rail... well...start by trying stronger PSU just for fun....

    New Processor, more problems

I have a suggestion... run a complete memory test on your sticks...i had a problem installing windows once because it said it couldn't access the file from the CD-rom while copying it...as if the cd-rom was corrupted...only it did with my two drives, CD-rom and DVD writer... long story short...on e of my RAM sticks was bad....

NF4 SLI chipset voltage - Is mine to high?

Well....keep on using that high voltage on your chipset and you'll soon find out.... I don't understand why on earth did you see the need to increase the chipset voltage that high when these boards reach 300HTT withouy ANY voltage increase on the chipset whatsoever...

    Stuttering continues!!

If I were you I'd put everything back to stock speed and voltages....CPU, Video Card, PCI ex bus and then start testing after each increase in speed and voltage to find the culprit....otherwise you'll be banging your head against the wall constantly...you tried pretty much everything possible to fix your problem and it's still there.... I know it sucks when you gotta go back to the basics but in this case it'd be the best course of action....don't know if my fellow members agree.... Cheers

    Stuttering continues!!

Are you using the Nvidia IDE Drivers or the Microsoft ones?

    Stuttering continues!!

Just an idea.... remove your X-Fi soundcard from your computer for a day or two and use the onboard audio instead....play games and see the results Just for the heck of it and let me know how it goes...
  23. Where did I get it? From the manufacturer of the card that's the one who designed the card...because the manufacturers of the cards sometimes overclock the cards not following nvidia's reference..........but I'm sure you know that don't you? here's the info on eVGA own website....feel free to check it out... http://www.evga.com/products/moreinfo.asp?...18-AX&family=22 Performance NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT 470 MHz GPU 20 Pixel Pipelines 400 MHz RAMDAC Memory 256 MB, 256 bit DDR3 1100 MHz (effective) 35.2 GB/s Memory Bandwidth Interface PCI-E 16X DVI-I, DVI-I, VIVO SLI Capable Resolution & Refresh 240 Hz Max Refresh Rate 2048 x 1536 x 32bit x 85 Hz Max Analog 2560 x 1600 and 1600 x 1200 Max Digital Requirements Minimum of a 450 Watt power supply. (Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 18 Amp Amps.) An available 6 pin PCI-E power connector (hard drive power dongle to PCI-E 6 pin adapter included with card)
  24. I think you might wanna look at this http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...22&postcount=34 The board alone would probably have trouble booting with an underpowered PSU like yours...let alone with an eVGA 7800GT that REQUIRES a minimum 450W just to work properly....

    OCZ EL PC4000 + UT nf4 Ultra-D

Is your memory OCZ "EL" or "EB" PC4000??? To my knowledge there's no "EL" memory from OCZ that is rated as Pc4000
