  1. I have an OCZ Powerstream 520 which has 33A on the 12v rail....are you telling me that my psu is not able to handle SLI?

    Thermalright XP-90

In the manufaturer's website it states that it is compatible with socket 754 so you should be ok
  3. You're not compliant with the minimum requierements of 24PIN, 480W for a power supply, specially with the expert that uses an 8 PIN CPU power conector....try a more powerful power supply. I know you're gonna say I'm talking nonsense and 470w is more than enough....but let's not forget you have a powerful video card and your CPU is heavily overclocked....so I suggest you try a more powerful PSU
  4. If you prefer overclock headroom over low latencies than yes....that is a very good kit...of course by running that memory at DDR500mhz you sacrifice latencies a bit...they are 3.4.4.8 at that speed if I'm not mistaken

    OCZ Powerstream 520W enough?

Thanks a lot for the answer Andy, appreciate it... I already ordered the blue one and should be installed soon...

OCZ Powerstream Blue vs Green !?

What about Active PFC ? In the OCZ official website it "states" the green one as being Active PFC whereas the blue one that is NOT mentioned.... What's the efficiency of these PSU's ?
  7. Anybody can tell me the difference between this one.... http://www.ncix.com/products/index....CZ%20Technology and this one.... http://www.ncix.com/products/index....CZ%20Technology Which one should I get?? I'm not using SLI right now but I intend to in the future... One of them is said to have active PFC (GREEN) and the other has SLI(BLUE) Does that mean that the SLI(BLUE) does NOT come with active PFC ??? I wanna get the blue because is SLI ready and I'm not sure if the 8PIN CPU cable is compatible with my mobo....see sig Anybody can give me a hand with this? Thanks

    Antec NeoHE550W

Is anybody here using this PSU? http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/neoHE550%20review/ I heard of this PSU having issues with Nforce4 mobos, shutting itself down right after boot. the site mentioned the problems were with the ASUS A8N but I don't wanna risk buying it if there's a problem with all the nforce4 boards including my Lanparty Any info on this will be greatly appreciated

    Power Supply Help

I`m gonna barge in here excusing myself in advance to the guy who started this thread as I need some advice on which PSU to get...I`m considering the antec neo he 550w, I`ve read that there was a serious issue with the asus nforce4 boards, does anybody here know if this PSU has any known issues with the Lanparty.? My motherboard is an Nforce4 SLI-D any info on this PSU and please, I don`t need advise on how good the powerstream from OCZ is, because I know that already, but I have a small case (antec super lanboy) and any powersupply deeper than 15cm will basically touch my DVD-rom and that cannot happen.... thanks guys

Anyone using a 20 pin PSU?

Yeah, but an adapter for that specific psu will cost me about 17 plus taxes plus shipping....I'd be better of selling it and buying a new one....thinking about it...

Anyone using a 20 pin PSU?

Well, Check the specs in my sig... I'm using that without an adapter...a 20 pin PSU just leaving the 4 pins in the motherboard empty....of course I plug in all the 4 conectors including the floppy one next to the pciex slot and I never had any stability issues....my PSU has 34A on the 12V...my dual core proc is overclocked 25% and my video card is also overclocked....my setup is prime stable 12 hours...(didn't have the patience to wait longer) and never had any issues...so I think this 20 pin psu won't work in the Dfinf4 is bullcrap.... If you have a good quality PSU to back it up and don't wanna spend $200 on a 600w because everybody here says so...

    Psu....

Hey boys, I need some help choosing a new psu, I'm between the Antec NEO HE 550W and the Enermax Liberty 500w The reason for this is I want a MODULAR psu since my case is small and clutter can be a big hassle... My specs are on my sig, any pros and cons with this two would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks

    Final OC X2 3800 @ 2.6

Right now is set to auto. I tought at first this could be the bottleneck, but among my many attemps to reach 2.6 I set it manually to 3x and it didn't make a difference at all... But thanks for the info on the voltages...I'll give that a try...

    Final OC X2 3800 @ 2.6

    So....nobody can help to get this B**** at 2.6ghz ? :-(

    Final OC X2 3800 @ 2.6

You guys are lucky...or there must be a reading problem because a 600mhz clock increase in a dual core cpu without ANY increase in the Vcore.....never heard of it....I'm having trouble putting mine at 2.6.....it boots into windows but as soon as I prime it, it crashes....2 seconds to creash it takes....I tried increasing my voltage all the way to 1,55v and still crashes....so I gave up....don't wanna increase the voce to 1.6v....unless there's a magic combination of CPUVID and special control that the cpu likes.... and I don't know about.... this really sucks....

    Everyday overclock

Disable Cool and Quiet first of all then work your way around increasing the HTT without incresing any voltages...only increase the voltage a bit when the cpu becomes unstable...my chip is weird....I can increase the HTT to 240 without ANY increase in voltage whasoever, then if I want 250HTT, I have to increase the vcore to 1,41V HTT260 is uncharted territory for me since I can boot into windows but at the moment I start prime95 on both cores the system freezes, no matter what voltage I put in....I didn't wanna go higher than 1,55, so I just gave up....

    X2 Missing a core

Not sure how that works, but there must be information on their own website, or check the brochure that came with your CPU in the package....
  22. Oceanborn

    X2 Missing a core

    RMA your CPU dude...
  23. You can, but make sure you have the option "command per clock" disabled in the BIOS, BEFORE you install the new memory and that you don't have your memory overclocked....apparently overclocking is very limited when you have 4 sticks of ram ...

    Non-sli Multi Gpu Help!!!

I told you when you first posted here with this problem to move the jumpers in the board so you could have x8 and 8x instead of 16x and 2x and you didn't listen to me.... Could have solved your problem for a long time now...
