  1. until i can test with a new motherboard tomorrow, i'm gonna leave it until i am sure what device is causing the problems.

If the motherboard is indeed a problem, then i would be shipping the new one from dfi out, when i obtain it.

will edit after results of tommorow.

  2. well got everything up and going on one stick of ram after the cmos cleared for 10mins.

installed all of my drivers, installed creative xf-i and dlink wireless. and everything is working good.

install video drivers, reboot, and computer works fine, but dlink card is gone from iqrs in post, the creative software doesnt read the card, etc, the two pci devices have vanished.

    everything else is fine.

get a popup for found new hardware, when i click cancel it pops right up, i have to click cancel 15x before it goes away.

    anyone have any idea?

  3. Hello,

What are the rated memory timings for these modules?

Remember, just because it is memtest stable doesn't mean the memory is ok.

Clear your CMOS again for 10 mins.

Use only 1 memory stick and place it in dimm slot 2 (orange).

    Remove your 8800gts,

When using the XFX PCI card in PCI slot 1, did it display anything to the monitor?

Using just that 1 stick + AUTO settings.

Does it power up all the time?

And does it ever hang in windows?

If it does hang swap the memory stick for the other one.

ill try the one stick thing when i get home..

  4. You can call me aus for short :) or George if you prefer...

Welcome to the next installment of our show folks.

i have installed the drivers and clean format of windows.

heres a point form of the problems still occurring

    - my pc locks up 30 seconds after booting into windows.

mouse just sticks, no errors, no flashing, noises.

    - I am starting to wonder if its the hd, I cant think of anything else.

    - 1 out of every 7 or 8 boots the computer wont post, and will hang at 4red leds.

a poweroff/on fixes that, and it boots.

    - Also my standby led is constantly on, doesnt turn itself off.

    - pcislot1 doesnt seem to be working, i had a xfi card in their, installed drivers nothing, moved it to pci3, and my windows found new hardware message popped up.

The hd is under warranty still, so i can RMA that if need be, but before i do that i want to make sure that its the problem.

  5. Ram was owned for a year and processor i have had for 6 months.

Everything works well, I have been offered a secondhand c2d setup and a price i cant say no to, so this stuff hits the block.

Im really not sure what to price things at, so im just going to put each at 125 plus your shipping costs.

    I live in toronto, canada.

If this is too much or too little please tell me!

the ram is selling for 150 on ebay, i am watching a few links to verify what i should be selling at.

    Heres the details

    --------------------------------

Opteron 165 (no sure on stepping, will check if there is interest shown) - 125 obo

highest o/c ive had it to is 2.1. (more than capable of 2.6+, i havent even tried to oc it.)

Just havent found the time to overclock.

    --------------------------------

    Corsair CMX1024-3200c2 2x1024 black sticks. 125 obo

corsair makes amazing ram. lifetime warranty etc.

    --------------------------------

    Please pm me questions/offers guys.

    thanks!

    Andrew

  6. Well guys thought we had it solved.

All the options in the Cmos are the ones from the SSDB from Travis.

Changed the battery, did the buildup and memtested for 8.5 hours.

Everything was good, played on the machine for 5 hours last night, everything worked no problems.

Left it on overnight, and woke up to the same BSOD again.

Heres a few screenshots of my Computer management:

    bsodno8.jpg

    cderrorzr9.jpg

    errors2vk6.jpg

This is the new dvd drive i have installed.

I had the same errors with my old one. I thought that might be the problem, so i just bought a new one and installed it.

Do i need drivers for a SATA dvd drive? or my SATA HD?

I think ive narrowed it down to either SATA drivers, OR an IRQ problem with the motherboard.

When the machine boots up, sometimes i still see the network controller (pci) not there, and the lan eth controller will show up, but if i shut it down immediately, i will see both of them come up.

  7. Clear the CMOS, load defaults boot enter BIOS put the correct Volts for your RAM and reboot. Make sure the RAM is In the orange slots.

You may need to Searching the Stock Speed Database (SSDB) and try some other memory timings.

by putting correct volts for the ram, are you saying if i have changed them?

I have loaded the defauts for the motherboard.

memory is stable, tested overnight no errors.

    ram is in orange slots.

    anyone?

  8. figured it was the network card, so i bought a new one to test in its place.

If i run the pc with no pci card it never has any trouble, where when i have a network card installed it bsods on me every time, but in a random amount of minutes.

it is doing it with the new wifi card as well, and if noone else has any ideas, im going to rma the board

anyone know the process or the warranty period on the experts?
