    Rev. AD0 - Better or worse then others

    I got one and tested it. The board was more stable then the AB0 I had but not that much difference. I got it to 322HTT before she got unstable. My other board started to be unstable at 315HTT. I did notice core temps seem to read about 5F - 7F higher underload then the AB0. One of the other threads over at Xtreme noted the same issue. Move along nothing to see here....

  3. I've got an Rev. AB0 Ultra D that I'm getting ready to upgrade to AD0 Rev because several people over at xtremesystem forum say they are more stable and scale to higher speeds. I can't get stable past 315 HTT and I have a buddy that has the same issues. :sad: OK DFI fellas, what's the straight scoop on the changes to the board? :confused:
  4. Its usually on a sticker on the side of one of the PCI slot. I'm in the process of upgrading my Ultra-D from a AB0 board to a AD0 board. Some people are saying that the AD0 are scaling higher. Any Comments?

    Well I've narrowed it down to the video card. That rthdribl program is a pretty cool. I really need to test the memory at the high FSB speed. What do you guys recommend?

    I also posted this over at a couple of other forums. Some of them are saying I need to set a fixed CPU and LDT Multiplier. In addition, I can't say I've heard of a CPU that couldn't handle high FSB/HTT, but I can't I've really tested that theory. Can say the chip isn't stable at 1.61 volts at 300FSB on the DFI but is fine 1.52 on my MSI board. I'm basically just puzzled over the whole thing. I've got a second Opti 146 on my MSI board that is stable at 300FSB and 1.47 volts. I know that board has issues at anything over 300 FSB; it won't even post at 310 FSB. One more thing, what about upping the voltage on the chipset? What about the mem settings, even though its running less than rated speeds?

    The opti can handle 300FSB in my MSI board at 1.52 volts on the core. Right now I've got the mem set to DDR 266 at 2.7 volts, 2T and CAS 2.5 (all to take the mem out of the equation) . The core is set to 1.55v + 1.04%. LDT at stock volts and auto. Everything else is default. She'll prime, Super Pi, and fold all day long. I can play CS:S for 20 mins and video shuts down and locks-up. No BSOD.
  14. I've been reading in here all day and I can't say I've found my answer yet. My Ultra-D seems to hit a wall at 300 FSB. The opteron I've clocked down to 9x from 10x on the multiplier (2.7 ghz) where the opteron isn't even breathing hard. She just isn't stable at that 300+. I know the board can do it, I could use some advice. System is my sig. I'm no nooby to overclocking, just to DFI boards.
