    Corsair Giveaway

I love Corsair Dominator Ram. I have a pair of PC-8500 Dominators which has been great. Great overclockability, great performance, and awesome looks and cooling at, generally, a pretty decent price.

    grub help

If you are using grub 1, hit 'c' to go to the command line (it'll say what to press at the bottom of the screen) then type "root(hd0,0)" (assuming your windows install is on the first partition on the first disk, 0 is the first, 1 is the second, etc) hit enter. then type "chainloader +1" then "boot" so it will be something like grub> root (hd0,0) grub> chainloader +1 grub> boot Or you can edit an entry with 'e' and change it to root (hd0,0) chainloader +1 On grub 2, you do the same thing but the commands are slightly different, its grub> set root=(hd0,1) grub> chainloader +1 assuming your windows install is on the first partition on the first disk.

Gentoo startx goes makes monitor shut off

post your xorg.conf and the output of "xrandr -q" your main display may just be set to disconnected.
  4. Maybe look into liquid electrical tape. Its non-conductive and I belive it has a high heat threshold. It is an insulator though, so there will probably heat issues. You could try not painting anything that generates a significant amount of heat.

    firefox addon

It's called Nightly Tester Tools, but the developer of the official version no longer updates it and as far as I'm aware the unofficial ones haven't been updated to the latest nightly release (4.0b5 or something) But yeah you can do what ARandomOWl said, I've gotten a few addons working that way, but not always.

    USB memory stick running Linux

There's http://www.ngine.de/article/id/8 . Its a bit involved but you get a full XP install on a USB stick. If the OP wants to run XP then this is probably your best bet. I don't think BartPE solutions will allow you to save. Personally, I'd just go for a linux USB boot. There's a nice list at http://www.pendrivelinux.com/ I'd give slitaz a try. It is ridiculously small, lightweight, and fast. It's designed for this purpose, though quite a few people run it as their everyday OS.

    Headphone Advice

What some of you have to realize is that not everyone is an audiophile and would rather get something that looks good. I know people who can't tell the difference (or don't care to notice) between $30 headphones and $150. Though, I have to agree hardnrg's post is one of the better ones here, no one headphone does everything well. Personally, I haven't heard those specific skullcandys. Based on what I have heard from skullcandy, they tend to be overpriced for what you get (SQ wise), but they do look really durable and look kinda cool.

    Linux & BSD

Same here. I mainly use FreeBSD though. Out of the many Linux distros I have tried, none feel as well put together as an BSD derived OS and always have something that annoys me. Linux feels hacked together to me, though some people like that. Although, Linux's main advantage (IMO) is its vast hardware support and, somewhat, better application support. I use Linux on machines that don't have hardware supported (or supported well) on BSD. Anyway, you just have to try both and stick to what you like.

Samuel L. Jackson Will Be Nick Fury; Still A BMF

Well Ultimate Nick Fury was modeled after SLJ with is consent. So it is kind of fitting for him to play the part to appeal to the younger audience. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of the Ultimate Series, the original Nick Fury will always be The Nick Fury to me.

Missing 20 Gb On 320gb Drives

Boot up Seagate Seatools, do a full erase, and try setting the capacity See here http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/self...sp?DocId=201271 on howto set the capacity. Linux uses standard partitions, it can't just magically make 20gb disappear. Something else must have done it.
