  1. Is installing nV RAID 0 with SATA 3.0G/s NCQ HDs in Windows 64 the same process as Windows XP home? I never got RAID 0, despite several changes to the driver file floppy. Everything went fine during F6 and S, but then Windows rebooted at mup.sys. At the repair console, chkdsk fixed numerous errors, but still no luck.
  2. I corrupted the bios by turning power on and off at the cheapo power strip when trying to get RAID 0 during windows setup (F6). To clear the bios, I followed the instructions on this board, which included removing the battery, leaning on the the mobo's power switch for several minutes, etc. and I got a bios message indicating it was corrupted. I loaded the optimal defaults (any other kind?). I also had reboot problems when the video card wan't attached to the monitor.
  3. Doom 3 demo defaults to High at 600 x 800, but I get sync bands accross the screen when panning quickly. The monitor is a ViewSonic VX 924 with drivers not installed. From what I read, 7800's 3DMark scores are much higher than 6800s, but shouldn't the extra 256MB help?
  4. Using optimized defaults in BIOS: PCMark04 = 6014 3DMark05 = 4925. Free versions. 3DMark had no anti-aliasing set. Is this OK? The graphics card is in the PCIe-1. There're no stability problems. I didn't load the LCD monitor drivers. No Raid 0; the drives are C and D with the Windows paging file on D.

  6. The Karajan audio module interferes with the 120mm rear fan in some cases. I don't want to modify the case or fan. What about the Cooler Master Centurion 532 RC? I also saw an Enermax that uses two rear 80mm fans, but they use some propeller-pattern grill that hurts air-flow. Any ideas? Seth
  7. I tried a generic CompUsa case; the Karajan audio card interfered with the rear 120mm fan, and there are no front fan vents. Any ideas for an inexpensive metal case without these issues?
