I am looking for a PSU to pair with a PC-V1000B here are my choices PC Power & Cooling 510 ASL Seasonic S12 600watt Enermax Liberty 620watt Fortron 700watt My vote goes to the Seasonic, but I have a guy that will sell me a PCP&C (not the ASL but a SLI edition none the less) for a fair price, what do you guys think.
  2. Thanks battle, that is really one of the best benchmark sites I have seen for a long time. I think I can see a 7900GTX in my future too
  3. I am looking to get a Lian Li PC-V1000B or 1000B Plus, I want the B version (black), if anyone can help me out that would be awsome. Ill watch this post but I get paid on Friday so I will be looking for sure to buy then. Thanks a ton everyone!
  4. Ya Mountainmods makes some very interesting cases, I like them but I don't have enough room under my desk; and yes you are right case choice is just that, a personal choice, but thanks for the input. I do kinda like the WaveMaster, but for some resone I have always been captivated by Lian Li cases. BTW how does the CM WaveMaster perform; cooling, construction, sound, etc... Thanks
  5. LOL thats awsome, 66mhz pentium, I think my calculator is faster than that! Thanks for the help guys. By the way, as on the subject of old stuff; I have my oldy closet box waiting for the right time too... 2 K-Pro's, 2 Comadors, amy still heavily played Atari, and lots of other parts including my old baby; my 8mb and 2 x 12mb Voodoo 2's!! ready for some old school SLI anyone, lol!
  6. I am finally getting a new case in about a week when my next paycheck comes. It will be for my computer now but will also be the case housing my new build when AM2 comes out, so it will be a long term buy. I am looking at Lian Li PC6070B Plus II and/or Lian Li PC-V1000B. I like them both a lot, I have wanted to get both but I don't know about spending almost $400 on two cases! I like the V1000B becasue of the cooling, looks, and the fact that it is a little bit different but not super weird or flashy. I like the 6070 because of it's good cooling yet low sound levels (although the V1000 is very cool and quite too), and I like the looks...it is smooth and refined, though I don't know how I like the door. So my question is what case would you guys recommend, either by ownership, personal choice, or what not.
  7. I am looking at a Lian Li PC-V1000B Plus and am woundering if anyone knows if the following power supplies will fit ok. PC Power & Cooling Turbo Cool ASL 510watt SilverStone Zeus ST65ZF 650watt Seasonic S12 Silent 600watt OCZ PowerStream 600watt or 520watt
  8. Well I am thinking about a Lian Li, though I like the P180 but have heard cmplaints about room, cooling, and that flimsy front door. I like the two color Lain Li, I am not a big Thermaltake fan but I have always kinda liked the Armor. I think I am shying away from the Asus Ventro or whatever. I have been woundering if anyone has had any experiance with a Lian LiPC-6070B Plus II, the reason for the plus two is that new 120mm side fan over the expansion slots, in a "silent case" (which I am sure has limited cooling as it is) it is needed im sure for a couple 7900's. Besides that I think I am either going with a LL PC-6070B, a Theremaltake Armor, LL PC-767, a CM Stacker, a LL PC-V1200B, or a Chenbro if I ever can find one. Thanks for all the help guys and if you have any comments about my slections let me know, the PC-6070B is my first choice, I don't know why, I just love the styling, though I am not a big door fan, oh well. Now I have to measure my desk to see if the Armor or CM Stacker would fit ok lol!
  9. *Update* These are some of the Lian Li cases I am looking at, I am woundering about these or comparable: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811112058 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811112102 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811112040
  10. Ok so I am finallizing a new build (it won't be happening until AM2 is realeased, I want to see how it performs, and untill I have enough money for a 7900GTX) and I need a case. I really really really want a Chenbro Gaming Bomb II, I don't know if I'll be able to find one or not. I like Lian Li's but I don't know what one I would get. I have also looked at Cooler Masters, SilverStone's, and Thermaltake's. I never have really been a Thermaltake fan, I don't know why but I haven't. I am looking for something nice, but I don't really want flashy (like tons of lights and crazy looks). I want something sleek and beautiful, yet functional with nice cooling and sound (as in not much sound along with heat). I am looking for something in the $100-$200 range, I wouldn't mind going higher if need be. Also thanks to all the people that replied to my last post, I couldn't find it to post replies, I havn't been on for a while.
  11. So I am working out the specs on a new computer, but have suddenly hit a wall. Do I go with a current motherboard (Asus A8N32-SLI and DFI LP UT SLI-DR Expert are my two options here) or wait for the new AM2 platform to drop and get either a Asus M2N32-SLI or DFI AM2 LanParty Series (both previewed on AnandTech). I have seen some of the new benchmarks (beta engineering samples on multiple websites) and I don't see much of a performance difference; I think the big advantage is being ready for new tech that AMD might drop, and haveing access to new processors. The other advantage is that if I wait I'll have the extra change to get a 7900GTX  . In others opnions is it worth it to wait? Other than that I will use a AMD X2 series, 2GB of RAM (type depends on the socket), and a 7800 or 7900GTX depending on money / price at the time that I decide to buy.

    New Comp

So I am thinking about a new system, and then using mine for portable gaming and OCing fun( I have a liquid chiller that will go to about -30 C  ). So I am building a new home system that will still have to run games very good, but also run all my other stuff; adobe creative suite 2 programs, video / audio encoding / editing, etc... Also I have the extra change and I want to make sure I have one system that is ready for UT 2k7  . So here is what I am thinking: AMD Athlon 64 4800+ >cooled by either a SI-120 or a Zalman 9500 OCZ Gold GX 2gb DDR500 kit eVGA GeForce 7800GTX w/ACS3 (might steal my other one for SLI) Western Digital Caviar SE16 250gb SATA HD Western Digital Caviar SE16 320gb SATA storage HD Motherboard Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe (I like the 32lane PCIe) or DFI LanParty UT SLI-DR Expert What is up with the new LanParty, the Venus or whatever, any benefits from a almost $300 board?? what do you guys think also has anyone had any experiance with the Ceder Mills? I am interested in them because I am working with my father and a couple friends (my dad the Mechanical / Electrical engineer, and friends, a Physics major and a Aerospace engineer, and my dad has a buddy who is an HVAC engineer) on a cascade phase changer that I am preying will hit -100 C or more!!! I have seen what the new 65nm dual cores can do and am thinking 6ghz +, maybe 7ghz!!!!!!! Anyways just woundering what you guys think, thanks to this site and everyone for all the help and feedback in the past, keep up all the awsome work.
  13. Hello, I am looking for a Chenbro Gaming Bomb II, I would like one in black is possiable. I don't know for sure if I am looking to buy right away, uless anyone knows a good deal on one. If anyone one has any info on how to find one please help. I contacted Chenbro and they said it was dicontinued in June of 2005, but it is still listed on their international site, I would just like to not ship from europe or asia if possiable. Also if anyone would like to make a suggestion of a different case I would love some input too if I can't find a GB II. I would really like to find one though so if anyone can help please let me know, thanks.
  14. I do actuly regularly visit those sites as well. I just was woundering what some people here thought about some of the new tech, feedback, thoughts, what not. That is interesting about Tom's though, I'll keep that in mind next time I read a review from there, thanks.
  15. welcome to the street, and very nice rig by-the-way
