  1. I got memtest running now. Ive tried my settings and the settings raptor suggested at 3.17v, 3.22v, and 3.3v and it all errored. Ill keep at it.
  2. Raptor thanks for the help. I lowered the voltage to my cpu and im now able to OC it. I think I was giving it too much the first attempt. Heres my CPU settings right now. FSB Bus Frequency............................. - 240 LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio....................... - AUTO CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio....................... - 11 PCI eXpress Frequency......................... - 100Mhz CPU VID StartUp Value......................... - 1.500v CPU VID Control............................... - 1.325v CPU VID Special Control....................... - Above VID * 112% LDT Voltage Control........................... - 1.30v Chip Set Voltage Control...................... - 1.59v DRAM Voltage Control.......................... - 2.66v I cant remember the max voltage my memory can handle but I have the VX and I know its alot. I believe it will go to 3.4v. On my ultra d my memory was stable at 3.2v any more than that it would error. Now Ive messed with my memory settings some and I dont know if memtest in the BIOS is even working right because its not listing the tests you know 1. 2. 3. and so on or showing any errors but when I play a game the game locks up right away or BSOD's. Any ideas about whats going on there?
  3. As I said I messed around with it I didnt just stick with my ultra d settings.
  4. I just went from an ultra d mobo to an expert mobo and I cant get the expert to OC at all. I OC'd both the cpu and ram with my previously stable ultra d settings and the computer wouldnt boot just a black screen and I had to reset the cmos. I messed around with it for a while and still just a black screen. Then I tried OCing just the ram and memtest says the settings are stable but games are locking up, rebooting comp, or BSODing. Im using the latest official BIOS and four sticks of ram. Anyone have any ideas what the problem is? Heres the settings I'm using. 5. I'm thinking about buying the SLI-DR Expert and wanted to ask some questions. Ive heard some people claim that this mobo fried there X2's on first boot up. Is this true? Whats the best BIOS for this mobo? I will be running four sticks of memory in it. Does the Thermalright XP120 fit without blocking any memory or PCIe slots?
  6. Ok I uninstalled the AMD drivers and it seemed to bring my boot up temps down a bit. I'm idling between 37-39c. When I play a game at default clock speeds my temps are around 41-43c. If I OC 400mhz on 1.5v the temps get up to 49-50c. Are these temps normal for other people who OC?
  7. Yes I upgraded from a 3700 to a 4400. I tried to uninstall the driver provided by windows but uninstall is grayed out. Should I try updating that driver? Yes SP2 is on.
  8. Yes I installed the AMD CPU driver. Ive also tried reinstalling the chipset drivers with no luck. I dont want to reinstall XP its too much of a pain. Id rather live with the slow booting if I have to.
  9. I believe its the AMD drivers but Ive tried to roll back and it still does it.
  10. I have a zalman copper heatsink on it and during games its getting up to anywhere between 42-46c without OC. With 450mhz OC it gets a little higher. Is this normal and what temp do I not want to go over? What temp do I not want to go over for the PWMIC and Chipset? I'm currently running the 623-2 BIOS is there a better BIOS? I have 4x512 in my system so any BIOS would have to work good with that. Any help or other suggestions would be apperciated, thanks.
  11. I just got an X2 4400 and am having some problems. First time I booted up every thing was fine it booted up quick. Then I installed the AMD X2 Drivers and now boot up is slow and takes 30 - 60 secs for icons to appear and windows are slugish to open. To try to solve the boot issue I have CnQ and thermal throttling off. Ive installed the AMD drivers, done the win hotfix, regedit, and other things with no luck. I put my san diego back in to see if it was the 4400 and it booted up slow also so I think its a windows problem. Any ideas on this? I'm also having a heat problem. 12. I have the driver and the hotfix installed right now.

I havnt OC'd yet. Any ideas about whats going on?
