  1. I did not have a problem with these cards before this happened. I installed a water cooling setup and it worked for about 2 weeks. Then it started erroring really bad, event 59 in event viewer, and now I am here. Both cards are eVga 7800 GTs. Both are stock clocked at 445 so I cant imagine that being the problem.
  2. I have recently been having random lock ups and in my event viewer, I have seen a lot of event 59 errors. I immediately uninstalled the current nvidia drivers and installed the latest drivers on nvidia's website. This was only when running SLI mind you, everything was fine when running with one card. I immediately thought that my 560W PSU was to blame so I connected one GPU to a separate PSU and everything was fine for an hour or so and then my PC crashed again. I then tested the GPU in the differant PCI slot and now I get no video at all from that card. When I install both cards again, my PC only detects one card now. Could I have a dead slot or could it be the GPU? I have a LAN event coming up and I need something so I am trying to take care of any and all RMAs that I might need to do. Thanks in advance.
  3. I picked one of these up last night, right after the price drop took effect. Very nice to know that in less than 24 hours, I saved over 200 dollars....just like Cobia said. It's to bad that they are so busy.......I paid the uber cheap asking price of around 6 dollars for 2 day shipping only to still be waiting for my order to be processed. Oh well. Good deal regardless.
  4. I just did this mod and it works beautifully. It honestly took more time to remove my motherboard from my case than it did to do this mod. I just rubed the epoxy off of the contact points with acetone and a q-tip and then taped off my work area and used a conductive pen. Cleared the CMOS and it booted right up as an SLI motherboard. So beautiful. So easy. Thanks a million guys!
  5. Yeah, I am stoked to get the new PSU in. I was able to get up to 2.65 today and I got my Ballistix up there as well (1:1) but I am just going to wait untill I get the new PSU to push it any higher.
  6. Hey Poppy, that overclocking guide of THunDA's really helped. I actually printed it out and am looking at it as we speak. I was able to get up to 2.55 rather easily with just barely a bump in VCore and got my RAM to operate at 255 at 2.5-3-3-8 which I am happy with as well. Thank you all for your help and a indirect thank you to THunDA for all the time he put into that guide and all his guides!
  7. It's a SmartPower 450W....it came with my Antec tower. I ordered the PC Power & Cooling 510W about an hour ago from Newegg. I am currently using a 20 to 24 pin converter with this one and I have read how that only 24 pin can adequatly supply power so I went and got a nice new one Either way, I am hoping to OC like mad here soon, just have to get used to this BIOS, thats all. If you all have any recommendations, feel free to share as I will appreciate all that you can give. Untill then, I am off to flash to the newest BIOS as see where that gets me. Thanks again guys.
  8. What BIOS do you all recommend? As stated above, I am running the 3.10 BIOS, are there others aside from the one update on DFI's website that are good?
  9. Also, is there anywhere in the BIOS toi enable/disable 2T? All I have found so far is the dividers section. Thank you for the welcome Steven! I appreciate that.
  10. Here you go, the sig is now attached. Also, DFI's site only has one upgraded BIOS other than the one I am running now. I will get that flashed when I get home from work. Thanks for the advice so far!
  11. Got an Ultra-D last week and have everything set up. I have an Athlon 3700+ Sandy, a eVga 7800 GT and a gig of Crucial Ballistix. Before this board I was using a Asus A8V Deluxe and while it was a nice stable board, it wasnt the overclocking board I was looking for. /enter DFI Ultra-D... I am in love with this board. From the way it looks to the way it preforms but I am intimidated as hell by all of the BIOS options. I would like to think that I am not a total noob as I had some good success with the Asus and an A64 3500+ winnie but this DFI BIOS is rather in depth. I can't get a stable OC past 220 on the FSB. I guess what I am looking for is a guide to what all the options mean. If any of you could help, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance... I am running the 3.10 BIOS FYI
  12. PM me when you are interested in talking about this. It's very tedious but easy. PM me.
