  1. I recently purchased a Zalman CNPS9500 heatsink and I am having problems installing it. Theres nothing getting in the way of the heatsink or anything, it just won't stay "clamped" in. I believe the problem to be the size of the screws that came with my motherboard. I think they are too short and don't quite reach the board. Also, the screws that came with the heatsink are shorter than my mobo's so they aren't of any use. Anyone run into this problem and/or know a solution? Do I just need to buy larger screws, and if so, where is the best place to purchase the exact ones I need? Thanks for any help.
  2. I am using an LCD monitor and i got the DirectX update. DirectX 9.0c i believe.
  3. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and im still having the problem. Like i said, it happened RIGHT after i cleared the CMOS so it has something to do with that.
  4. If you have multiple accounts on the computer, its the screen BEFORE you get to the page where you choose an account. Theres the XP logo with a blue (Professional Edtion/SP2) scrolling bar. Thats the screen that doesnt display
  5. Alright, i had the PCIex already selected, so i just did Reset Data option and its the problem is still there. Also, sometimes when it doesn't display "Video mode not supported" it goes through different wierd looking frames like 5 colored horizontal bars, a white screen, grey screen and a black screen. It cycles through them for about 5-10 seconds and then windows loads.
  6. Im not sure, where exactly do you need to enable this?
  7. Hello everyone, I have a small, but irritating problem. I recently cleared my CMOS and right after that is when I started having this problem. Whenever i boot up, and my computer begins to load windows, instead of the Windows logo and the load bar on the screen, I get the message "Video mode not supported". Now, I still load into Windows without any problems, but this is annoying. Again, it started occuring immediatly after the clearing of my CMOS. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

2g OCZ Platinum Rev 2 Problem

I went back to stock settings and it still wont work. I tested the new RAM and it works fine in the two yellow slots so that eliminates the factor of bad RAM. I can put one stick in the orange slot, but whenever i put 2 in it won't work. So, apparently it has something to do with the orange slots.
  15. I've had 1g of OCZ Platinum Rev 2 RAM for awhile now without any problems. I just got another gig of the same RAM and when I turn on the computer it just beeps and nothing displays on the monitor. I tried turning off CPC and it still doesn't work. The DRAM voltage is at 2.9 and the RAM divider is at 150 (2/3). Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
