  1. one more the blue die i got really sucks it only lasted one day, i got to call and get them to send me something different
  2. ok the bottom looks like a mess. I am planning on cleaning it up later Finished let there be light
  3. finally to install the water block. I had trouble with the apogee on this board it seems that the provided one inch bolts were not long enough so i had to go up a size Time to fill the system and leak test, man there were a lot of bubbles at first and the pump was loud as hell, but i rotated the case a little bit and once it ran overnight it got real quite
  4. I wanted to give the case a little more lift for the rad fans, i found some 1 inch risers at Ace, but I had to redrill and tap the holes because i couldnt find a long enough bolt I think it turned out good
  5. yep its my first, i did a hole heck of a lot of research, i actually finished it. just need to hook up my matrix orbital. but i think my 6800 gt temp is too high it idles at 40 degrees. All of the air is bleed out once i flipped the case around some. now its really quite. My Newcastle idles at 26 degrees is that OK
  6. Lian Li V2000 PA 120.3 Yate Loon Fans D5 Pump Apogee GT MCW60 Micro Res 7/16” Tubing I wanted to push the radiator as far back as possible to keep the hard drive rack fully intact. I made a radiator template in AutoCAD, using the dimensions from Themochill’s website. Got the idea for the radiator placement from OC UK I originally wanted to use the Dremel tungsten router bit with the circle cutter, but it didn’t cut worth a crap, so I cut it with cutting wheels and the flex shaft It was pretty scary cutting into my Lian Li case. I took it slow making little cuts at a time. Two down and one to go Here is the final result not to bad for a free hand Dremel. I ordered some molding from Frozen Cpu, but it was to thin. I am debating putting fan grills over top the holes, or just the molding. I can figure that out later. If you look between my feet you can see my rabbit being nosey. Every thing fit fine, now to the pump. I wanted to keep the reservoir feeding the pump, with the radiator feeding the blocks with the order RES > PUMP> RAD>CPU>GPU>RES. I know the order doesn’t make a hole lot of difference, but this order will also create the shortest tube length. I needed to flip the pump upside down, I actually found these clips used to hang mirrors Final after tapping the clips After hanging the pump and drilling some holes to route the tubing Close Up The Res. Run More To Come Later!!
  7. Wow look at were performance pc mounted the bottom 2x120 radiator they rotated the bottom drive cage 90 degrees and mounted the radiator on it. looks like a good idea maybe i will try it http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/ind...5651f4e9ab13496
  8. Unexpected OC results I have only been overclocking for 4 months because I had to wait to get a new PSU with high enough amps on my 12V rail. My memory sucks doesn’t overclock well at all, and I have been messing with settings trying to get the best aquamark 3 score. The settings in my sig give me a about 66,000 score, with the following settings I get the following scores; 224 fsb, 11 cpu multi, 9/10 divider @ 2.5,3,3,6 1T rest Auto = about 66,000 240 fsb, 10 cpu multi, 166mhz divider @ 2.5,3,3,6 1T rest Auto = about 67,400 Why would the second one with the lower cpu and memory frequency yield a better score Is it because of the higher fsb, is this proof of the multiplier myth? Oh and the 224 scenario uses a v core of 1.6 and 240 uses 1.55 If you guys need more info I will have to wait till i get home from work i cant remember the precise details
  9. 2.5ghz is all i can get out of my newcastle also, even putting the memory on 1/2 divider
  10. what kind of power supply do you have, i couldn't overclock at all with my old power supply an mge vigor 500w that only had 19a on 12v rail, when i got my powerstream i can hit 2.5ghz stable as a rock
  11. would the ocz powerstream obstruct the top blow hole fan int the cm stacker 830 i know the powerstreams are 7" deep wonder if it would hit the fan
  12. My corsair does not go much higher than 240 @ 2.5,3,3,3,10 1T rest Auto it sucks
  13. I have a sunbeam chromatic windmill, it works ok. It's pretty fragile if i had to do it over again i would get this Aerocool the windmill does controll 7 fans though max 10 watts per channel and has 3 temp sensors. You can adjust the alarm settings for the three sensors, when max temp is reached it beeps rather loudly and kicks all 7 fans on full blast untill the temperature goes down
  14. but could i use the PC Power and Cooling ASL on my current board
  15. just ordered the ocz 600w, was 189.00 with rebate at newegg, little expensive but i still have some christmas money left over hope it lasts me a while
  16. what about the 12v power consumption on new video cards like the nvidia GX i think it is called wonder how much power it will suck up
  17. Going to upgrade to SLi when M2 socket comes out and 939 drops in price but need a power supply now what would you get they are roughly the same price at Newegg ocz 600w pc power and cooling 510w would it be better to get the one with dual 12v rails for the future
  18. Do you think that the ocz 600w would be worth the extra money for future purposes, i am planing on moving to 939 with SLi once prices drop and will it work with my nf3 with an AGP card
  19. I need a new Psu and the enermax noistaker 600w and liberty 620w looks atractive but a lot people on the newegg reviews said that they blew up and some of them caught on Fire! has any one used any of these psu for a long time, and have problems Enermax on Newegg
  20. I read some place that the agp voltage adjustment in the bios will only help with an increase of agp frequency that the video card regulates the voltage internally and the only way to increase the voltage to your gpu is a bios mod or hard mod that requires scary soldering is this true
  21. does increasing the agp voltage in the bios work as well
  22. I have 19v on my 12 volt rail with BFG 6800GT and I cant overclock at all If i do the power will hicup every once and a while and my rails go crazy. If i do not overclock i still get problems only a couple of times a month i am going to get a new power supply take it from me get a good psu
  23. What case would you buy for under $150 bucks that has a lot of room and is easy to hide wires
  24. are you running it on 12v, when i hook it up to my fan controller on max speed it only tells me its running at 1600 rpm when the manual tells me that on 12v it should be 2600 rpm. But when i hook it up directly to the psu on 12v the temp doesnt drop
  25. thanks i will wait a couple of weeks to see if it comes down its about 49 now with 28 case temp
