  1. So I tried the Patriot LL 2-3-2-5 and got nothing but headaches with my Lan Party. at DDR400 2-3-2-5 or 2-3-2-7, I got random reboots when loading windows, when I got to windows, running 3dmark 05 and Prime95. If I loosened the timings to 2.5-3-3-7, the system ran without a hitch overclocked to 217mhz. The thing is, both sticks memtested through 15 passes each, so they weren't bad sticks. I need 2x1GB because everything ran so much smoother compared to my 2x512 VXs. My questions is, what 2x1GB RAM is working for you DFI NF4 users? OC is not as important to me as timings, so let me know what has worked for you. Thanks!
  2. Please read this thread!!!!! Here is background of the problem: I just bought some 2x1GB Patriot LL PC3200 2-3-2-5 RAM I installed the sticks and first of all they don't OC for crap, but that's not the real problem. The problem is when I try to run my system OC'd to 2.6GHZ (289x9) with the 7/10 divider (202mhz) the system will restart either on boot up, or seconds after it gets into windows. I tried memtest at the above settings and memtest detected my RAM was running 289mhz!!!! The system is running fine at 202mhz 1:1 memory ratio. What can be causing the divider to fail!? Thanks ------------------------- Athlon 64 3000+ Venice @ 2.6GHZ (289x9) 1.47v DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D 7/04/05 BIOS 1GB OCZ "Value" VX PC3200 @ 231mhz 2-2-2-7 120GB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM SATA Radeon X800XL 256MB PCI-E NEC 3520A 16x Fortron Blue Storm 500w What do you guys think???? Thanks in advance!
  3. Should I use winflash??? How should I flash it?? Sorry, not to familiar with flashinjg the BIOS. I did fine with the 3/10/05 from DFI's website cause the file was self extracting onto a disk...
  4. Which one exactly should I try??? I flashed to the 3/10/05 off of DFI's website, but I am pretty skeptical about flashing my RAM. Which of those should I try?
  5. Ok, seriously. I'm running 2.16GHZ (240x9) @ 1.45v just fine with 1:1 memory divider. memory is operating at 240mhz (DDR480) so I know it's not a memory issue. I tried to boot at 240x9 with the 9/10 divider just for craps and giggles which would have given me 220mhz memory and I got a BSOD and restart... put the memory to 1:1 and it booted fine 240x9 w/ 240mhz memory. What gives?? I am really frustrated cause I know this CPU will do 2.7GHZ, I just need to get the dividers to work!! Any suggestions??
  6. Ok, I can't get this motherboard to work correctly with my OCZ Value VX PC3200!!! I've gotten into Windows with this 3000+ Venice @ 2.7GHZ, but I can't get the RAM to run with a divider. ANY DIVIDER. running it at the lowest divider (100mhz) produces BSOD or the system hangs right when I am about to enter windows. It does this no matter what on any divider running the RAM at ANY speed. But if I run the 1:1 divider i am fine.... WTF??? I am posting from 2.07 GHZ (230x9) with the RAM at 1:1. Can somebody PLEASE help me figure out how to run the dividers without the BSOD??? A64 3000+ Venice DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D 1GB OCZ Value VX PC3200 Fortron Blue Storm 500w
  7. ok, here are the specs. A64 3000+ Venice Rev. E DFI Lan Party UT Ultra-D 1GB OCZ Value VX PC3200 120GB Seagate SATA Radeon X800XL Fortron Blue Storm 500w ok, I have been having the crappiest time overclocking this setup. The highest I ahve gotten this chip stable at is 2.34GHZ @ 1.47v (260 x 9) Anything higher gives me BSOD no matter what voltage, memory timings, anything. BSOD or it will jsut hang right before Windows loads. ANyways, the problem I am having right now is that at 2.34GHZ I can only get windows to load if I have the memory running at 100mhz, you know, the lowest divider. Anything else like I said above hangs or BSOD. I can't even get this memory to run DD333, nevermind DDR400. Does anyone have any ideas? PLease help. I would be happy with 2.34GHZ as long as I can get my memory to run the correct speed! Thanks
