  1. I hit the 80's as well with my 7800GTX's, you have to remember when running SLI they get hotter then a single card, when you wanna compare your temps always compare with SLI setups.
  2. your XP-90C will fit on the dfi board no problem. As far as the memory goes they should be fine but I'll let the more experienced elaborate on that.
  3. If you want my opinion I don't think he tested any of these two boards, why I know that ? ok look at the picture of the asus board which he claims, quote"I picked up an Asus A8N SLI-Premium board " now does this board in the photo looks like the premium version? NOT this is the delux version premium has the heat pipe cooler on the chipset. So in conclusion he's full of ^%$#, he did not even test the boards
  4. all you need is to unscrew the grenn dfi plate and screw in the supplied plate. make sure you use the same back plate though, and you need to use the longer screws supplied by the XP-90
  5. Am I understanding you correctly?? did you say "50C FULL LOAD", and you think this is hot?.......
  6. There is only that one adjustment, for both cards, you can't do them seperatly.
  7. vindicare try this for the hell of it cause this how my set up is: in bios enable USB mouse diable keyboard mouse, keep USB at 1.1/2.0 Now use your adaptor (usb-Ps2) for the keyboard and plug it via PS2 PLug your mouse via USB just a little caution sometimes when rushing you might plug the keyboard in the mouse PS2 don't do that try it and see if that works.
  8. LOL , this thread is halarious, I get memory report short as well no big deal.
  9. is that air cooling AG? I see you just increased CPU FSB and kept ram @ 200???
  10. How about $254.00 and they are very good I'm using those see my sig, new has a mail in rebate (too bad a week after I bought them): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227210 Very solid and good performers at stock speed so far running at 2-3-2-5- @1T no problems what so ever memtest 12 hours no errors no crashes yet , played farcy HL2 and I play ET every day .
  11. it seems that the dfi has a problem with the PS2 connector , my mouse was stopping intermettingly using the (USB to Ps2) adaptor tried two different mice same problem, light is on cursor freezes mouse do not respond, sometimes it comes back on it's own, not acceptable for me. I like to use Ps2 for sample rates in gaming, but I gave up and I plugged it straight into a usb and it's working fine now. just make sure you have all your drivers installed including USB 2.0, turn on USB mouse in bios and don't use the Ps2 dongle just go straight USB. BTW I have the MX510, so it should be similar case. Good luck
  12. I don't overclock , so I'm extremely happy with those sticks, I did a lots of research before I took the plunge on them , and I am very glad I did
  13. I have this in my system and they are rock solid so far 2 x1gb sticks http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227210
  14. guys your center speaker is working , matchstickrobot that long beep you hear from NVmixer indicates that it works, the problem is that your source has to be 6 channel in order to get sound out of the center speaker, I went crazy at first until I ran into this wave file from microsoft : http://www.tsp.ece.mcgill.ca/MMSP/Document..._Channel_ID.wav listen to this file in order to determin if your center is working or not.
  15. I just got those memory today and I pretty much set everything to auto, I got you the results readings from " A64 tweaker", voltage at stock 2.6 hope this helps: setting--------------------------------------------------------------------resulting DRAM Frequency Set - Auto-------------------------------------------200Mhz Command Per Clock (CPC) - Enable---------------------------------1T CAS Latency Control (Tcl) - Auto-------------------------------------2.0 RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd) - AUto resulting-----------------------03 Bus Clocks Min RAS# active time (Tras) - Auto----------------------------------05 Bus Clocks Row precharge time (Trp) - Auto-------------------------------------02 Bus Clocks Row Cycle time (Trc) -Auto--------------------------------------------12 Bus Clock Row refresh cyc time (Trfc) - Auto------------------------------------14 Bus Clocks Row to Row delay (Trrd) - 02-----------------------------------------02 Bus Clocks Write recovery time (Twr) - 02 ---------------------------------------02 Bus Clocks Write to Read delay (Twtr) - 02--------------------------------------02 Bus Clocks Read to Write delay (Trwt) - 03--------------------------------------03 Bus Clocks Refresh Period (Tref) - 1816------------------------------------------1816 Write CAS Latency (Twcl) - Auto--------------------------------------?? 16. fed ex just delivered the 2gb OCZ platinum, they are sweet , I'm running them at stock timing right now and they are screaming as good or better then theOCZ (2x512)pc-4000 VX gold that I had in there. Sandra scored about 20 point higher. I am so glad I made the switch, I will be watching this thread (me watch angry) to see what's the best he can do with them
  17. I have mine blowing down , it also cools the memory and PWMIC.
  18. Hehe , I'm glad you're happy with the result, thanks to the good folks at this forum, I was just returning the favor.
  19. it will work trust me I had the same exact issue memtest ran like a champ everything was fine except memory benchies were awfull in both sisoft and aida, I listen to the good guys here and bam , right after I flashed, perfromance jumped from 1600/1700 in sisoft to 5600/5700.
  20. Update bios I had the same problem, the bios you have now 530 does not support dual core: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15727
  21. I think your V core is a little high I have mine set this wayin bios: CPU VID start up value 1.40V CPU VID Control 1.3V CPU VID Speciel contr above VID 104% LDT Voltage control 1.30V try those settings they may help your temps, I don't overclock so I'm happy with it that way.
  22. I have the 4400 X2 and MBM5 reads 33C idle and 41C load, haven't seen it go beyond 41C yet. 60C and 70C is way too high , I think thoser X2 are rated at 65C, check your heatsink, thermal paste, and like angry said maybe bios problem ? I had a problem with my mermory bandwidth running way below specs and the good fellas in this forum directed me to update the bios and everything has been so swet so far. BTW my bios is 623-3
  23. I second that my temp never went beyond 41C under stress and benchmark, and it idles at 33C
