  1. There's something wrong with it. When I tried to load from my WinXP CD, it says Error loading operating system..... There's nothing wrong with that disk! Its fine!
  2. I don't know what you mean by F6. When would I push that? I think I need some seriousl help here. I have no idea what Im doing. It has been so long since I've used these Raid drivers. I need some kind of step by step instruction. Can someone help me with that?
  3. http://us.dfi.com.tw/Support/Downloa...FLAG=A&SITE=US I downloaded this and put it on a floppy, then booted the system up with that floppy. When it tries to read the floppy, it pukes back "Cannot load DOS! Any key to retry". Did I do something wrong?? I want to reformat my twin raptor drives. WindowsXP was corrupted beyond repair when a UPS failed, essentially unplugging my system. I tried reinstalling windows, but it says the drives are too badly corrupted to install windows. I thought the drives were damaged so I ran the Western Digital diagnostic program on them, which detected no errors at all. So I was going to try and just reformat the drives and start over. Can someone please help?
  4. Okay, its not working. I put it on a floppy and booted the system up. When it tries to read the floppy, it pukes back "Cannot load DOS! Any key to retry". Did I do something wrong?? 5. I seem to be having trouble finding the raid floppy drivers for my nF3 board. It's a Lan Party UT nF3 Ultra-D. Anyone know where I can find these drivers? I went to the DFI webpage too but I didn't see anything below nF4.
  6. Isn't there someone who can help me? Isn't there someone who works for DFI? Is there a customer support number I can call... or a tech I can email... or something?
  7. You know, I just realized this topic was moved to the wrong area of the forum! This is an NF3 board, not an NF4. I also wanted to mention that after it says no OS detected, it says there's an innert OS setup disk or something like that. I do remember a long time ago, I tried to fix XP before I understood something correctly, and thought I could just reinstall it over it self like I used to do with 98SE. I got to the setup and realized it was going to reformat the disk and stopped it. Ever since, it's asked me if I want to run XP or run setup. Its really annoying, and I edited a file so it with run XP already chosen, instead of setup chosen, so if I walk away it doesn't go into setup and I can just press enter to load windows. I talked to several techs and they said they didn't know how to remove it, without screwing up XP.
  8. No? On that Genie Bios Setting page, it ends at the Current AGP Power readout. After that, there isn't anything else. Also, on the Integrated Periferal's page, I just finished setting up the RAID config. When I restart the PC and went into the RAID setup through F10, it just froze when the setup screen loaded. However, on that screen it lists raid stripe is already there and its healthy. It looks correct, with the right amount of combined megabites. What's wrong with it? Do I need to reload or upgrade the drivers... or something? I forgot to say something too. When I restarted it for the first time after what I did that caused this mess, one of their sata connectors was loose and I pushed it back in after a failed OS boot, thinking that was the cause. Could that have made this worse? They are plugged into SATA 3 and 4. 3 was the one that became unplugged.
  9. Please guys... I really need your help. I have no idea what I did way back when I set this machine up. Hardware is my thing, not software. I don't even remember if I'm supposed to load drivers, and if so where to get them, what they're called, etc. The twin hard drives just show up as normal drives, and I don't see any trace of nVidia raid drivers when the computer loads.
  10. I built this computer over two years ago. I don't remember what I did... Can someone step me through it? Please? Besides, I don't want to make a single mistake.
  11. Man... you guys aren't going to beleive this... In a moment of sleep deprivation induced extreme stupidity, instead of using the jumper I actually removed the bios chip to reset the cmos...... effectively F'ing up my Raid 0 configuration! Go ahead... laugh, I deserve it. But can someone please tell me how to restore my Raid 0 configuration without loosing the information on them? I really don't want to have to reconfigure them, then reinstall XP... and all my drivers. Lucky for me I thought ahead and only put my OS and a games on them to speed them up a bit, and "My Documents", and "My" everything else. I don't do stupid stuff like this, so it's really strange that I did that. I have no idea what the hell I was thinking! But I do recall having to remove and put back the bios chip in an older computer a loooong time ago. Maybe I remembered that and for some reason did it that way...
  12. Um... a little late for that... I bought it a year and a half ago. ROFL I'm pretty sure they won't run in either slot group A or B, but I'll try again. Also, what does that bios fix? Edit: Stares in desbelief. No @#$&ing way.... It worked! That didn't work before!!! What... was it just in a bad mood or something before? Why is that working now, after a year and a half, and it didn't work when I first got it?!
  13. I haven't posted here for a while, because it seemed like you guys were getting overwhelmed and people were pretty much just waiting for a bios update. I have plenty of patience, so Im back now. So far, I still can't use my dual channel memory, and the clock has been constantly loosing time since I received the board and isntalled it. That last thing only seems to happen when the machine is turned off. But I'm more interested in getting my dual channel memory to work. So, whats the news? Something good I hope.
