  1. If anyone wants to know how the Tuniq Tower 120 performs then all i can say its it performs similar to water cooling, but without the hassle. My old Danger Den Maze 3, and Ehiem Pump have been retired for good after getting my Tuniq Tower 120. It kept my old Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Cool, and its doing a grand job on the Core 2 Duo. Im currently running at 3.5Ghz @ 1.425V (+100mV) in the BIOS. Im not sure what Voltage im REALLY running at since i have 4 different programs telling me 4 different voltages but suffice to say, after the machine has been on all night and with the ambient House temperature being 23Deg C, my CPU core is currently 37Degs C. After playing FEAR last night for over 1.5hours it only got upto 43Degs C , and in ORTHOS it has yet to break 45Degs C !! Im still not ORTHOS stable at this speed though, so im going to have to feed the CPU more Volts....... But looking at some peoples comments in this thread, and the acceptable temperatures, i feel i have plenty of room for adjustment whilst still keeping my temperatures sensible.....

    Gigabyte ds3 + e4300

Hey Raiderfan001. I have the 2007 Trial Version of Everest, and it doesnt even include the Engineering Sample as a list entity. Maybe they have dropped it from 2007, but it might be worth seeing what the latest Everest Version displays.....
  3. Hey all, Im currently going through the motions of trying to get my rig into the OCDB @ 3.5Ghz !! Im having to increase the Juice to the CPU, but so far i dont seem to be able to get a reliable reading !! In the BIOS ive selected 1.425V in addition to the +100mV option. In the ASUS PC Probe 2, it says my Vcore is 1.47V Z-CPU returns a Votage of between 1.213 and 1.440. It just keeps jumping up and down etc.... Whilst EVEREST says im running at 1.325V, but the Voltage icon for the CPU in the Taskbar just shows the letter T. Anyways, im now going to run OCCT 30 min test along with a few loops of 3DMARK06. If it gets through that then its on to ORTHOS !!
  4. And here is the First OCDB Entry based on the ASUS P5N-E SLI (well i think its the first, not checked) Not bad for my first attempt. Im pretty certain i can get 3.6Ghz out of this setup, since the temps at 3.4Ghz with just 1.425V are a paultry 42Degs in ORTHOS, leaving plenty of room for further increases in Voltage. I also need to add some memory OCing into the mix but for now i concentrate on finding the CPU limit.

    OCCT Problems.....

Waahoo. All problems sorted and i now have an Entry in the OC Database with 3.4Ghz !! Im well chuffed !! I have to push my CPU further especially since the Temps are so good (ie plenty more V's i can use) and then i need to find out what my Memory will take !!

    OCCT Problems.....

OK, Well im upto 3.2Ghz (400x8), and is OCCT / SuperPi32m stable, so its time to keep pushing

    OCCT Problems.....

I can confirm the latest OCCT works properly on my rig. Just completed the 30min test and it pops up letting you know "TEST COMPLETE - STABLE" Now to push on with More testing

    OCCT Problems.....

In the mean time, Ive checked for a newer version (which i have found) and im giving that a try at default clocks....... I will update this thread in around 30 mins
  10. On my old DFI NF4 SLI-D, and AMD CPU combo, i would try and OC and run OCCT as a pre-stresser before running ORTHOS/PRIME 95 etc. If the OC was unstable OCCT would return a message saying something regarding "The test has been haulted because of XYZ" If the OC was good it would say, something like "PASSED or COMPLETE" I cant remember the EXACT wording but you get my drift...... On my Core 2 Duo machine, I can run OCCT at 3.05Ghz and get no errors. However, when it reaches 99%-100% it doesnt say any PASSED/WELL DONE/CONGRATZ/COMPLETE message etc, it just goes back to 0% !!!, saying remaining time :0H 0M 0S, and still displaying the STABILITY TEST Title !! So whats going on? Has it passed. Or is their something wrong? Ive even gone back to Default settings which were >24Hrs ORTHOS stable (I didnt originally use OCCT at Default clocks) and it does EXACTLT the same !!
  11. I havent got a full key. I only intend to use the TRIAL version...... Although i have another problem now !! Im using 1.563V on the Northbridge, just to see if i could pump the ONBOARD LAN back into life, which it hasnt done. So ive had to buy a PCI card which is really going to limit my options for installing anything else Anyway the problem is this........ Im using 1.563V which i selected in the BIOS, and since double checked....... Everest still quotes the Northbridge Core voltage as being 1.25V. So it hasnt changed according to Everest..... Is their any other program that can confirm what the voltage is? Or can someone with the ASUS P5N-E SLI board confirm that Everest does'nt show the OVERCLOCKED state of the Northbridge? Thanks in advance........
  12. SORTED. Managed to get to the Beta link after all (the one you posted). It does indeed support my Mobo now !! I can report the Chipset voltage as standard is 1.25V. Im gonna up it now and see if i can bring the ONBOARD LAN, back to life as suggested from another forum member. Will also help stability for ORTHOS me thinks Thanks again PRAZ
  13. WOW, your Message was too fast for me to read it. Lemme see if i can update it. The file name was exactly the same thats for sure, but the link you posted didnt work properly ( i think its because you have to entre Details to download)
  14. Doh, Aparently their latest Version doesnt fully support my Chipset/Motherboard......... It cant report back ANYTHING on the northbridge !! Gutted !!
  15. Oooo i have that program, but just havent installed it yet. Thanks for that PRAZ !!
