  1. hehe thanx for your suggestion, i went and purchased a pci express card and tested it on my my comp and the same thing was happening. heres a pic so you can see for your self what it looks like hehe. strange eh? So i kept at it. restarting my comp over and over and over again to observe this problem. Good news! thank God for CMOS reloaded, i dunno why but when i loaded prior settings that i saved and restarted my comp when into like a test mode called MEMTEST+ ive never seen this before and it happend automatically, so i let it go it was testing my cpu and ram after about 15 min it froze saying unexpected error. I thought to my self it must be my RAM so i swapt them out with some generic stuff and sure enough my comp boots up no errors at all im here now typing this post with my comp and not that god forsaken web tv hehe that ram you see below is defective and i paid 300.00 for them =( im very sad i wrote to OCZ about it and hopefully they send me some new ram stix, these here are taylored for my mobo you cant get them any mroe and there only 6 months old. all is well ATM. thanx again for you help Helix
  2. My comp fails to boot up/ I know this cab be cause by alot of things. I beleive my bios chip has failed. When i press delete to enter cmos to change settings, after about 10 secs my comp restarts sometimes if im lucky i can get into cmos but then half of the screen turns into little colorfull squares with diff symbols in each square like check marks numbers and happy faces, wierd huh?, ive had my mobo for about 7 months now. Im not sure if this is the right place to post this topic reguardless. i really need to know how to get a new bios chip, in the box that my mobo came packaged in theres no info about the warrenty no addresses or phone numbers, Im using web tv right now =/ omg... Thanx for everyones help in advance. Helix
  3. omg u seriouys??? i got mine too about 3 weeks ago
  4. interesting well i will screw with bios settign to see if i can get the FSB to 312 thanx fur your helps helix
  5. i just checked CPUZ and it shows my memory frequency 270.01 FBS:DRAM CPU/10 case#latency 3.0 clocks ras# to cas# delay 3 clocks ras# precharge 3 clocks cycle time (tras) 7 clocks back cycle time (Trc) 15 clocks Dram idle timer 16 clocks why is the frequency 270.1?? what happened to the 625... i checked the timing tables too slot#3 i dont understand why it shows slot 3 when im looking at my ram stick in slot 2, my other stick is in slot# 4 any ways SPD timings table Frequency 312MHz CAS#Latency 3.0 RAS# To CAS# 4 RAS#Precarge 4 TRas# 10 So what does it mean when at the top say my frequency is 270.1 and under the spd timings table shows the frequency as 312MHz how is my ram running at 625mhz i think i wasted money on this RAM 300 in the toilet oh well at leaset their life time but who cares cuz there already out dated
  6. i read that iguess i just dont understand it lol all im trying to figure out is what speed my new DDR ram is running at right now just as they are. does it require 2 stix of my DDR ram to run at 625 MHz ok how about if i only had one of these would that be running at 625 mhz? .... for give my nubish questions
  7. so if i under stand correctly, both stix are running at 625 each? 1stick=625 DIMM 2 1stick=625 DIMM 4 or is it 1stick=312 DIMM2 1stick=312 DIMM4 for a total of 624 (to be exact) =)
  8. You are correct about everest, I have CPUZ and that displayed the correct info about my RAM. CPUZ reports my RAM running at 312 MHz i thought it was 625Mhz each stick of ram I was under the impression each ram module ran at 625mhz i think im wrong, origionally this was the reason i wanted to OC my ram and increase to voltage to OC them from 312 to 625 MHz each ha ha =) Can i use that BIOS on my type of MOBO, would it be better ? One last thing, what do i need to see if my cpu passes Prime 95? thanks again; Helix
  9. sup all, i have a DFI NF4 SLI-DR mobo and OCZ OCZ6251024ELDCPE-K 512x2 ram Im trying to raise the Voltage of my ram in my BIOS from 2.6v (default) to 3.0v. I have my cpu VID control feild of the genie bios set to 1.475v I moved my jp17 jumper to increase the voltage to my ram so i can select 3v And I have selected a cpu voltage other than auto but what happens is this, when i select 3v and i go to move to another field it jumps right back to 2.6v The other thing i would like to inquire about is my ram speed, using everest, the reports of my Memory Speed is PC4800 (300 MHz) but i have PC5000 625MHz I would like to change it so my ram is performing at the levels they were designed to perform at. i know this is achieved in the bios im not sure how. Please any info you can share with me about this would be very helpful thanx in advance Helix
