  1. well, I have done everything I can think of, as well as the advice give here. I thought maybe it could have been shorting out on the case, but I tried it outside the case, and still no luck. It's on it's way for an RMA. Thank you everyone for your help.
  2. When I turn it on, the videocard fan starts, and that is it. No beeps, nothing. It will not post. I have tried one stick of ram, different slots, and nothing happens. I should atleast get an error code beep, but I am not even getting that
  3. Hey guys, I hope someone can help me. I just finished building a new system consisting of a Gigabyte P35 DS3P and an E6850 and Mushkin 8500 ram. I am using the other components listed in my sig. I can turn it on, but the cpu fan will not spin, so I had to hook it up directly to the psu, and it will not post, or even make a beep at the least. I took out the ram, and still nothing. Is it time for an RMA??
  4. Well, I tried every driver I found on the net, and Vista still gave the message "Device Drivers not found" I finally did get it to work, I found a post on www.nforcershg.com where a patch disk was used to force vista into loading legacy raid drivers. Here's the post by Hwti If there are non-RAID disks, Vista wants to install its bootloader on the first non-RAID disk. If there are only RAID disks (which are seen as SCSI), Vista wants to install its bootloader on the boot RAID disk. So if you have non-RAID disks, you need to disconnect them if you want the bootloader on the RAID disk. Instead of loading modded drivers from a disk, I have another solution which may solve problems : You need to make a boot floppy or CD-ROM. With this boot disk, vista will use its built-in driver, so the driver will be WHQL. The driver will be loaded like on a new (not legacy) sataraid system. This would be useful with x64 to update driver after install if nvidia doesn't add LEGACY in INF file. (Since it keeps WHQL status, driver signature enforcement isn't a problem) http://rapidshare.com/files/4111183/NF4_le...aid_boot_mod.7z How to use it: For the floppy: Use make_floppy.bat to make the boot floppy configure your computer to boot from floppy first, and DVD next. Insert the floppy, boot When prompted, remove the floppy and press a key. The computer will boot vista setup from DVD with legacy SATA support. !!!! When setup reboots the PC for the first time, you need to use the trick again, or you will get a BSOD : Configure your computer to boot from floppy first, and hard disk next. Insert the floppy, boot When prompted, remove the floppy and press a key. Vista will boot from hard drive and setup continues. For the CD-ROM: Burn the ISO to a CD. configure your computer to boot from DVD drive. Insert the CD in the DVD drive, boot. When prompted, remove the CD, insert Vista DVD and press a key. The computer will boot vista setup from DVD with legacy SATA support. !!!! When setup reboots the PC for the first time, you need to use the trick again, or you will get a BSOD : Remove Vista DVD and insert the CD. Boot When prompted, remove the CD and press a key. Vista will boot from hard drive and setup continues. I did this, and it worked like a charm. I just thought I would spread this around incase there are others having trouble installing Vista 64 on a raid array on an Nf4 board. Hope this helps others! Thanks again Hwti!!
  5. I just finished installing Vista 64 on a single hard drive with no problems. For some reason it just won't install on a raid array. This is making no sense to me. Should I still try installing it at the bios defaults?
  6. I have tried numerous formtted floppy disks, and still no go. I am able to point to the sata ide folder, but when I click ok, I get the message that "Device Driver not found" Is it some how possible my system cannot run raid in 64 bit? I am sure it can, but this is getting really frustrating.
  7. the error message I get is: "No Device Drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers and then click OK"
  8. I have tried that already, on a floppy and usb stick. When I click on "Load Driver" , I point it to the floppy drive, and almost instantly, I get a message saying "Device Driver not found"????
  9. I have tried those drivers also, and I get a message saying device drivers not found!
  10. I am having problems installing vista ultimate 64 bit. I had read over and over the tutorial located here: http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/vist...e-vt66299.html, and have tried every driver on it and I still cannot get it installed. Whenever I go to load the drivers I get a message saying "Device Driver not found", I have tried putting them on floppies, and a usb stick and still no luck. I was able to install the x86 version no problem, however, with x64, it doesn't seem possible. I also just finished trying to install xp 64 bit, and when it came to install the f6 drivers, it gave a message saying something like the system is not compatible with this operating system. Anyone have any ideas?? I am really stumped. I tried flashing bios to the lastest official bios, that's the only thing I can think of that would affect it. Please, does anyone have a solution??? HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPP!

  14. For the last month or so, I have found that my system freezes while playing games such as F.E.A.R and S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and Battlefield 2142. Sometimes it's within the first 5 mins, and other times it happens after about a half hour. I installed the latest ATI drivers, and put my system back to default clock speeds and it is still happening. Whenever it freezes, I have to reboot the computer manually. I have checked the event viewer, and nothing is showing up. Does anyone have any opinions on this?? Also, I have checked my temps and they are all fine. TIA
