  1. Just wondering if by stock u mean 200 cpu 200 dram since my ocz does not like to run at 200. When I set my cpu multi to 8 and htt to 250 i run stable with the ram on normal settings at 250. If i run 200:200 I have the same kind of issues but usually not irql error's, Just a thought to give a try.
  2. Hey tmod I just wanted to thank u for making my life so much easier, i'll admit i have an addiction to tweaking. And your disk has made it so much easier for me to test each bios's performance that I can honestly say i have tested them all. Because of your disk I have not had a floppy drive hooked up to my main rig ..... ever! I slipstream my raid driver's so with your disk I have no need for a floppy drive. Well until I mod the bios on my video card. LOL
  3. Part of the reason I like to slipstream mine is for the unattended portion, Like to just set my partition and come back to window's on the desktop. Happy's way is a much better way of doing it since you don't have to redo the install disk everytime there is a new driver released.
  4. AsAsIn8eR-You don't need a floppy drive for raid just slipstream the raid drivers with nlite. They have a thread in the software section about it with linkies to. I have been doing it that way for quite awhile without any issues with x64 or 32bit. Only had one floppy connector on my ps and don't need a floppy for anything anymore right now.
  5. Nice run there thraxz bet if u did a couple tweaks it would drop even more. Really startin to miss my ch5 chips, doubt this ram will let me get into the 25 second range.
  6. Viking looks like you dont have everest read in one of the other pics. Just rerun one of the 3d marks and include everest read benchmark and then it's good to go. Nice job on that one, You should put a link to your database post over in the GGG thread and become a member.

Besides i think it's pretty cool seeing that handle up in the top spot. @TFK-Thank's bud and I am a pretty sarcastic person so it kinda fits lol.

  10. No doubt i'd love to see it that cold and thank you kind sir. I know it isn't gonna last (kinda like when tfk had a better pi time waiting at home) but I am pretty proud to get up there for awhile. First week i had this chip i got 3010 which then put me at 9th, then 3110 got me to 2nd. Yesterday got 3150 stable and last nite's buzz pulled off 3170. Not sure what the future hold's but i think i do need a new handle. LOL

  13. Yeah this is the first time i have seen them fall this far and this definately will not be ran on a regular basis lol. Still can't believe this chip has gone this far on air, wish we lived closer i would love to see what it could do in your setup.:cool: Man i hate looking through all my notes they end up looking like some huge math equation that takes hour's to decipher.lol

  15. Well i got 3170 done but i think am reaching the limit on my ram. Passed all the tests but my 3dmark scores are way lower than normal with the same oc on vid card. Almost wondering if it isn't the mem controller since 1:1 this ram will get a little above 265. Tried some more pi's last night but no better times yet. I normally get about 28000 lol finally hitting a wall i think.
  16. Yep that is how i got my best time but i can't get this ram to stabalize enough to get under 26 seconds. Everytime i did get in the 25s range it either froze up or blue screened. That's why i worked on my ocdb instead of pushing any harder for pi. But now i got to try and catch both of you.

  18. Did u find the max that ram will run at yet i didn't see u post that info? If not u might want to find that out so u know what u can work with as far as the divider goes. Sorry it didn't help more but the more u try the easier it will get.

  21. At least for me some cpuz seem to like the special vid control, with my opty i could set it to 1.475 and not be stable at 3010 but then 1.4+104%=Rock solid stable.

When I first joined this forum i was on my second build (first was an msi lol) and with all the information i have learned here now the people who got me into computer's come to me when they have problems. This is the only forum I visit on a daily basis and truly want to thank everyone here for keeping it the way it is. I have only seen two spam ads in the entire time and both were deleted before i signed back in again. Happy thanks for starting and running this forum as it has became my second home.

  24. 1.612 in my opinion that's ok but i would try to find a happy medium between clock and volt's for 24/7 use. The first thing i do after i test at stock for stability is find max cpu with stock volt's and work my way up from there. after i find my true overclock then i tweak on my ram which sometimes mean's dropping the htt a couple to keep everything totally stable. Have u read thunda's overclocking guide? Full of great information and helps to learn alot about how the a64 work's.
