  2. Great job man those are pretty tight timings there. No problem and if you get it to 300 post up your setting's so I can see how those sticks do.
  3. No but I get to have 10% off my orders for awhile. They have alway's been really good to me so I didn't push it to hard. Still in contact with them about something though.
  4. Well one thing I had to do to get stability at 280+ was increase max async latency to 9 and read preamble to 6. Might even try max async at 10 while testing. This stuff takes some effort to get running good but is well worth it when you do. More to do with the memory controller of the cpu than the ram itself.

  6. That look's like alot of voltage for an opty only at 240 htt but every chip is different. There is a teamgroup forum that might have some timing's to try but I just kept playing with mine until I got used to it. Have you memtested the sticks to see if they are both good? They are rated to 300 so 240 might need some tighter timings.

  9. You might give these a try for 240 and if you look in the ocdb section you will see quite a few tccd entries. Can you please go to user cp and create a signature of your hardware so we can see all your components at the bottom of your post.   10. First thing to do is to set command per clock to disable and then search in the stock speed database for those ram chips to find what secondary timing's will work with that ram.   11. You can use everest to test read and write but will not tell you if it is stable. Didn't realize you were just trying to find best performance just be sure to test for stability too. Really suck's when window's corrupts on ya.
  12. Ten years from now it might be a linux box but I will still have it. I never have had this much fun tweaking on any chip before.
  13. Prime 95 blend seem's to work good for ram and also run the 3dmark03 test for 3d stability. Window's based memtest to at least 1000% coverage also works pretty good.
  14. Dude to be honest the install was worse but I just walked away, Sat down and watched a full southpark episode while it ran. LOL Don't even have a clue how long it took to run didn't even glance at the screen. I should throw hd tach on there and see how many kbps it run's. If I get around to doing that I'll throw a pic your way.
  15. Except for the raid issues it sounds like a sweet assed board. I went ahead and threw up that ocdb entry with the expert and that smoking fast hard drive But think I was the only one laughing about it. Man I had to uninstall 03 and 05 to fit 06 on there LOL.
  16. Yep still on air. Nice low ambient temp's really helps this chip out but wish I had some watercooling to throw on it. This chip is awesome and now here is another 32mb run. :cool: Still catch myself wishing I hadn't gotten rid of my ch-5 chip's but oh well. CPDMF- Man at least you got it sorted out but that suck's having to buy a raid card for a board with that many raid options.
  17. Got bored and ran another 1mb pi this time at 3300 had a better one but can't find the sceenie anywhere. Really would like to get it under 25s but really don't think that will happen.
  18. LOL I need to get some SSD entries in there and actually ran them on the ultra d but lost the pics during a reinstall. That harddrive is so slow it is not even funny but everything passed so I figured it might as well get in there. Took it out of an ancient hp computer I have laying around.

Needed to test the powersupply and didn't feel like breaking my raid up until I get a case to toss it in. Check out those awesome 3dmark scores.

  21. They actually shipped mine out the day after I ordered it. :eek: I'll admit I was rather suprised but I did order it as soon as they dropped the price to 129 with the 20 dollar rebate.
  22. Good choice I just got a 700 watt gamexstream and am very happy with it so far. Still testing and waiting for my case to show up but you will be happy with it.
  23. Look's like only 8 meg cache on the ones I could find. Could just start with the one drive and try to grab another one like it for a raid array. You will be suprised at how quick 250 gigs fill's up especially with some of the newer games. That sure is looking like one sweet rig in the sig there.
  24. Gamexstream 600 They have the 600 for 99.99 before a 15 dollar rebate through the 30th also. I got my 700 watt a couple day's back and loving it so far.
  25. So you could run them in raid 0 which offer's alot better performance than a single hard drive. Best way I can put it is right now I am giving up 70 gb of hard drive space because raid 0 improved my performance so much. It is recommended to use identical drives I just picked the ones up in my sig on great sales.
